Scientists are urging NASA to send a message to a mysterious interstellar object before it is too late.
The object, known as 3I/ATLAS, is traveling on a rare retrograde path and will reach its closest point to the sun on October 29, 2025, which Harvard physicist Avi Loeb suggested could be an ideal window for a covert approach on Earth.
While Loeb is not 100 percent sure 3I/ATLAS is of alien origin, he proposed communicating with it as a precaution and crafted a six-word message for the occasion.
The physicist told the Daily Mail that he wants to beam, 'Hello, welcome to our neighborhood. Peace!'

I read somewhere that the estimates are that there are about 10 interstellar objects greater than one kilometer diameter inside the solar system on average at any time. We only detect the bigger ones, occasionally.

Heh, Scripture makes a couple references in the book of Revelation about some large object falling from the sky and poisoning the waters. I believe there are more, causing other problems.
They think that message will reassure the potential aliens that we’re benign? Have they looked at the shape our planet is in now???????

In a couple of decades we might no longer be transmitting at all. And they will think we all died off.

someone should let the esteemed scientist know... no matter how much doctor who they’ve watched, if there are aliens on that rock, odds are goods they don’t speak english.
Whatever radio signal we send to them essentially says, “Hey you guys, we’re over here.” Nothing good can come of this.

First Trumpet: hail and fire mixed with blood that annihilates 1/3 of all vegetation
Second Trumpet: something like a burning mountain lands in the ocean turning 1/3 of it to blood, destroying 1/3 of all shipping and 1/3 of all sea life.

Nonetheless, The Revelator records that “The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands so as not to worship demons and the idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk; and they did not repent of their murders, nor of their witchcraft, nor of their sexual immorality, nor of their thefts.”

Maybe it’s one of those generational interstellar starships manned by the great, great, great great, great, great grandchildren of the original brave crew that set out from a dying planet on the hope of continuing their species beyond the stars.
