Heh, Scripture makes a couple references in the book of Revelation about some large object falling from the sky and poisoning the waters. I believe there are more, causing other problems.
They think that message will reassure the potential aliens that we’re benign? Have they looked at the shape our planet is in now???????
Revelation 8
First Trumpet: hail and fire mixed with blood that annihilates 1/3 of all vegetation
Second Trumpet: something like a burning mountain lands in the ocean turning 1/3 of it to blood, destroying 1/3 of all shipping and 1/3 of all sea life.
Third Trumpet: a great start falls, burning like a torch, and poisons 1/3 of the rivers and springs of water killing masses who drink it.
Fourth Trumpet: the Sun, Moon and stars are stricken and 1/3 of them darkened.
But wait, there’s MORE: the next three trumpets are called The Three Woes, indicating that things are about to REALLY ramp up.
Nonetheless, The Revelator records that “The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands so as not to worship demons and the idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk; and they did not repent of their murders, nor of their witchcraft, nor of their sexual immorality, nor of their thefts.”
