Oh my.
This is ... insane.
A 35-year-old dude in India died "suddenly" and "unexpectedly" according to this report. However, upon an autopsy, it became quite clear what killed the man:
He swallowed a baby bird and it got trapped in his throat! Here's what I imagine this dude's last words to have been:
No, it wasn't eagle powers that this guy was after. It was fertility.
Villagers claim Yadav had been consulting a tantrik (occultist) due to struggles with infertility and suspect that swallowing the chick was part of a ritual intended to help him become a father.
Pagans gonna pagan. And occultists gonna occult.
It's 2025, and we've got guys eating entire baby birds believing some magical power within this ritual will make them fertile.

This beats my story. The worst I ever saw in the ER was an old lady who swallowed a fly. I don’t know why. I thought she’d die. But she pulled through with a massive medical bill.
