The face of an eight-year-old Neanderthal boy who died more than 30,000 years ago has been reconstructed by scientists who used a skull initially found in the Teshik-Tash cave in Uzbekistan in 1938.
The portrait is the first three-dimensional restoration of a Neanderthal skull fossil, which reveals the young boy had a small, turned-up nose that sunk into his face.
The fossil is the first Neanderthal fossil discovered in Asia and the only complete Asian Neanderthal skull fossil preserved so far....

He looks much older than 8; anywhere from 10 to 15 years old, IMHO.

Well, have you ever read the book by one of his decedents that documents his thoughts and actions?
The history that is sold in plain brown wrapper in Salt Lake?
I had a neighbor who worked in Salt Lake City for a time. He let me read his copy.
Smile.

Yes. Life would have been serious, lots of risks and brutal.
I saw that with no evidence better than recorded Native American history.
“Scientists” who pretend to know things about ancient history, are often very far off from reality. (who would know?)

Musculature is approximated from humans.
Nostrils likely appear pig-like due to direction of skull’s internals. Perhaps taken from similar skulls of Columbian/Nicaraguans?

We can know a lot about the hair color, skin tone, and even facial features if we have the DNA.

Since about 60-80% of the world have brown eyes and dark hair its a pretty likely option in doing these reconstructions. Though no one knows 100%.

Isn’t that what we have in the NFL?
To: blueplum
What always puzzles me when I see these Neanderthal reconstructions is how they interpret eyes. Neanderthal eye sockets are significantly larger than ours, they are placed higher on the skull, and are round instead of rectangular. Would this not mean that their eyes are much larger and rounder than ours? I don’t know the answer, but this, like all of the reconstructions I have seen, have normally sized human eyes.
