Researchers Develop "Radio-genetics" – New Method Triggers Gene Expression With Radio Waves or Magnetic Field

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Researchers Partner in Research Described in Nature Medicine

Troy, N.Y. — It’s the most basic of ways to find out what something does, whether it’s an unmarked circuit breaker or an unidentified gene — flip its switch and see what happens. New remote-control technology may offer biologists a powerful way to do this with cells and genes. A team at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Rockefeller University is developing a system that would make it possible to remotely control biological targets in living animals — rapidly, without wires, implants, or drugs.

In a technical report published today in the journal Nature Medicine, the team describes successfully using electromagnetic waves to turn on insulin production to lower blood sugar in diabetic mice. Their system couples a natural iron storage particle, ferritin, to activate an ion channel called TRPV1 such that when the metal particle is exposed to a radio wave or magnetic field, it opens the channel, leading to the activation of an insulin-producing gene. Together, the two proteins act as a nano-machine that can be used to trigger gene expression in cells.

“The use of a radiofrequency-driven magnetic field is a big advance in remote gene expression because it is non-invasive and easily adaptable,” said Jonathan S. Dordick, the Howard P. Isermann Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering and vice president for research at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. “You don’t have to insert anything — no wires, no light systems — the genes are introduced through gene therapy. You could have a wearable device that provides a magnetic field to certain parts of the body and it might be used therapeutically for many diseases, including neurodegenerative diseases. It's limitless at this point.”

Wouldn’t that be mell of a hess? Conventional wisdom says 5G can’t cause harm. This might be a heretofore uninvestigated aspect to RF.

“We are now exploring whether the method can also be used to control neural activity as a means for noninvasively modulating the activity of neural circuits.” Marilyn M. Simpson, Professor and head of the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics at Rockefeller University

I'll be God-damned. I thought you were exaggerating for effect. But she actually said that.

Hallucinations invoked from a distance. Shutdown of all voluntary -- or even involuntary -- activity. The potential for mass control of the populace is limitless.

Havana Syndrome?

If this tech is real, us hearing about it is not the beginning of anything except more awareness.

Those conspiracy theories about magnetic vaccines and G5 activation were just priming the pump.

That’s a great scene, and Goldblum was great in that role.

Which to a laywoman, makes no sense. I’ll leave it up to the more enlightened FRers to keep to let me know when we’re in more deep chit! :-)

Perhaps there is basis for the otherwise absurd notion that 5G radio is harmful. The article didn’t indicate the wavelength or intensity needed to cause the flip.
...
Wouldn’t that be mell of a hess? Conventional wisdom says 5G can’t cause harm. This might be a heretofore uninvestigated aspect to RF.

5G encompasses an incredibly wide range of frequencies, using the current cell freqs of around 600-900Mhz, up to around 100GHz. Most are still using low-band on the old cell frequencies, and mid-high bands in the 3-5Ghz range. FCC has auctioned off higher bands in the 20-50s Ghz, but I don't think too many carriers have rolled those out yet, if the current phones can even support those frequencies. And they're looking at selling off up to 100GHz as well.

To put the 5G frequencies in perspective:
Infrared light goes from near visible down to about 300GHz.
Your wireless router is already spreading EMF around your house in the 2.4GHz and likely 5GHz bands.
Your microwave runs around 2.45GHz, and commercial microwaves are often at 915 MHz.
Air Traffic Control radar is usually in the 1-4GHz range.
Weather radar is around 2-12GHz
Marine radars are generally the same, between 2-12GHz.
Popo radar guns run on bands right around 24.1GHz for Kband radars, and down around 10GHz for XBand radars.
Red light cameras are usually triggered by a sensor spraying you with 34.3GHz EMF.
DirectTV transponders are around 18-20GHz.
GPS satellites are pushing 1.2-1.6GHz, and GLONASS and the European ones are in the same range.
TxDoT traffic sensors run on 10.525GHz.
Bluetooth devices run from 2.4 to 2.5GHz.
RFID chips can vary from 850-950MHz, or 2.45 to 5.8GHz.

Unless there's somehow a very specific frequency that does damage somehow, 5G isn't going to be doing much to you. Ionizing radiation doesn't hit until you get midway through the ultraviolet light frequency, and 5G isn't anywhere close to that. Sure, too much exposure to EMF radiation isn't good for you, but there's a lot of background EMF already, and none of this is going to be powerful enough to hurt.

That was a nice post. I already know all of that; and, have posted the same when I encounter people who are afraid of 5G. The longest wavelength that is known to interact at the molecular level is UV, which 1000 times shorter than the shortest wavelength being considered by 5G.

The article in question, however, indicated: Their system couples a natural iron storage particle, ferritin, to activate an ion channel called TRPV1 such that when the metal particle is exposed to a radio wave or magnetic field, it opens the channel, leading to the activation of an insulin-producing gene.

This is an avenue that has not been factored into the research that evaluated risks posed by RF energy. It is an indirect association of the effects of the magnetic component of RF to cellular structures. "Ferritin" might be present in the body naturally (I guess that it is), and might be an RF damage link not previously noticed. It seems that the science may not be settled.

It won't stop at injections, or "passes". They are heading straight for this "Embedded tech"...(Read Revelation 13:16-17 and the rest of the Book of Revelation, Mr. Schwab. That's how things will "change" for you and all who reject the gospel.)
