REVEALED: Navy fighter jets intercepted eight UFOs and even locked on to one with air-to-air missiles, classified reports show
UK Daily Mail ^ | May 13, 2020 | Frances Mulraney

Reports newly released by the Naval Safety Center reveal more information on the bizarre encounters U.S. Navy pilots have had with unidentified flying objects off the east coast of the United States. Eight hazard reports filed with the center's web-based reporting system were acquired under the Freedom of Information Act by The Drive and detail strange run-ins that include a near mid-air collision with a balloon-like object and a sighting of a suitcase-sized aircraft. In one 2014 encounter, the Navy jet reported even being able to lock onto the object with an air-to-air missile.

I have never seen this particular scene on the TOS on H&I. I do like the ship and planet effects they have produced. Does not intrude on the story and the other cheesy effects remain. Like Melvin Belli’s evil spirit.

My son bought the Original Series on disk, and we were watching them to familiarize my boys with some old school science fiction. I was disgusted that they modified many of the shows with really crappy computer graphics effects exactly as George Lucas did with his original Star Wars movie.

Perhaps they are showing the original video on H&I?

Some of the modified scenes are not so bad, but I hated the particular one being discussed, and I hated what they did to that planet eater episode.

Then H&I must be showing episodes with minimal CGI FX . I watched the planet eater and just noticed the FX were sharper but not really different. Same with the space flight and orbiting scenes. The look sharper, more real but not CGIed.

Right. Never underestimate the potential of an American hobbyist...they can and do some amazing things.

In fact, I think the Wright Brothers might have been considered hobbyists.

The Chinese claim is very shaky since there is no actual proof that they have succeeded with a quantum computer (more likely is more CCP disinformation) and even that claim was somewhat retracted in a later article.

You re assuming to much here - wishful thinking does not a pulse engine make especially since the very nature of a plane and a rocket would call for very different designs. You cannot assume that one experimental thing creates two distinctly different and real things. They may exist or not, or exist and have been abandoned.

The Aurora may or may not exist; there is no information since the later 90s, and has likely been long superseded. All that is just speculation - if new tech goes anywhere chemical power is out - too heavy too small payload. Nuclear power could be in, but leading bleeding edge goes to Zero Point Propulsion as described by Mark McCandlish.

Pulse detonations exists. There are scads of youtube videos showing them being tested by all sorts of researchers. I think the latest designs are a "rotating pulse detonation engine" or some such.

They produce significant improvements in efficiency over existing designs but one of their main draw backs is they are horrendously noisy compared to anything else, but that problem can possibly be overcome by an active noise suppression methodology. Last I heard people were working on it.

Oh, and for what it's worth, Pratt and Whitney has been developing one for years.

And if you are unsure about that concept of converting from air breathing to stored oxygen breathing, I will point you in the direction of "Reaction Engines Inc."

I've been keeping up with their work for years.

Yes, I’m familiar with the range of Jewish beliefs (I’ve read the entirety of what we Christians call the Old Testament, Genesis through Malachi, about thirty times). By the way, Jesus and His apostles knew them, too. Are you aware they are all Jewish?

I understand, but having flown fighters (and with AIM-9X at Nellis), and with a sensitive IR pod, to me, absent other clues, I’d say just as likely a ghost return of some sort like I’ve experienced.

Not saying there is nothing there in the world, but not all locks are “real.”

Point of order: Nothing is ‘housed’ at Area 51.

Airspace in Nevada is carved up into chunks and numbered, and the airspace over Groom Lake (the “secret” base) is under airspace numbered “51.”

To be clear. . .

“Plus, the military never bothers with Pilot safety when it comes to the new stuff. I mean, they do, but they recruit a breed of folks who don’t mind living on the edge. Even fighter pilots fall in that category.”

That would be Test Pilots. And yes, we are very concerned about pilot safety. . .cost a heck of a lot of bucks to train a USAF pilot, and years and years of experience before they even make the minimum experience to even apply for the program.

And not only losing a pilot is bad, losing a very advanced new platform that is costly to develop and very costly to build (it is all limited and not mass produced. . .until the technology is “mature” like the F-117.

Each flight is crawl before walking, then as the true characteristics are discovered or verified, it is a slow process to running. All done to protect the pilot and the platform. Computer simulations are not the end all.

All my piloting had those spinning thingees and a Vne lower than your landing speed ;-)

Depends on your definition of "Jewish": ancestrally? culturally? theologically?:

"Soros was born in Budapest in the Kingdom of Hungary to a prosperous non-observant Jewish family, who, like many upper-middle class Hungarian Jews at the time, were uncomfortable with their roots. Soros has wryly described his home as a Jewish antisemitic home." Wikipedia, which offers no insight into his current theological beliefs or religious practice, if any.

Your point?

“Testing”
“prototype”
“working on it”
Youtube vids all proof of nothing but what they purport to show working, dead end, abandoned - who knows.

So all those hangers are empty? Yeah I know how the area is carved up - so what? that was not the point ... to be clear.

would you rather ‘stuff was hangered’ or something - no one talks like that and it is bad English.

Just annoying.
