Immune discovery 'may treat all cancer'
BBC ^ | 01/20/2020 | By James Gallagher Health and science correspondent

A newly-discovered part of our immune system could be harnessed to treat all cancers, say scientists.

The Cardiff University team discovered a method of killing prostate, breast, lung and other cancers in lab tests.

The findings, published in Nature Immunology, have not been tested in patients, but the researchers say they have "enormous potential".

Experts said that although the work was still at an early stage, it was very exciting. What have they found?

Our immune system is our body's natural defence against infection, but it also attacks cancerous cells.

The scientists were looking for "unconventional" and previously undiscovered ways the immune system naturally attacks tumours.

What they found was a T-cell inside people's blood. This is an immune cell that can scan the body to assess whether there is a threat that needs to be eliminated.

The difference is this one could attack a wide range of cancers.

"There's a chance here to treat every patient," researcher Prof Andrew Sewell told the BBC.

He added: "Previously nobody believed this could be possible.

"It raises the prospect of a 'one-size-fits-all' cancer treatment, a single type of T-cell that could be capable of destroying many different types of cancers across the population." How does it work?

T-cells have "receptors" on their surface that allow them to "see" at a chemical level.

The Cardiff team discovered a T-cell and its receptor that could find and kill a wide range of cancerous cells in the lab including lung, skin, blood, colon, breast, bone, prostate, ovarian, kidney and cervical cancer cells.

Crucially, it left normal tissues untouched.

Cesium chloride with potassium works to target and kill cancer cells. Other things do too.

The discovery/dicoverer itself/themselves. Way too much money in “R&D” and “Treatment meds” to let an actual cure show up.

I had colon cancer surgically removed. After that I had to have check-ups every few years. That involved a specialist looking up the butt with a camera device and then he sits with you looking at the pictures. Which all really was not pleasant.

But now, I went to the doctor last week and all they require is a poo-poo sample and they test that at a lab.
I was told I have no cancer.
I was like wow for real?
That is much better.

You are likely correct-my parents said years ago that there is too much money in treating cancer and other potentially fatal diseases rather than curing them-all the drugs for chemo, etc that big pharma produces and sells for a king’s ransom, not to mention organizations that get millions to supposedly research cures, etc-a simple, natural remedy like one’s own immune cells and/or a plant or animal based cure would turn off their money faucet for good...

“”””They must be testing this on RBG”””””””

They are testing it on my son. He has terminal brain cancer.

All normal treatments have now failed. He is on an experimental drug now. ( Think Trumps Right to Try law that he got passed).

Some doctors from Chicago found out about his condition and want to try something like this. It has something to do with t-cells, a transplant from a healthy donor or something.
I will know more later this week.

Funny the things you remember

This one sounds legit since I already knew the body eats tumors under the right conditions, such as long term fasts which make the body search out defective cells in order to consume them.

There’s a doctor on YouTube who talked about how fasting healed cancerous abn ou rmal moles on his skin that were confirmed to be deadly. They got red, ugly, then just fell off his body after fasting. He also reported patients who had seen tumors disappear after a long fast.

The body has everything it needs to heal itself. It seems like most of our problems are dietary. High carbs do not encourage this healing and recycling process out bodies undergo when fasting or on a keto diet.

In the future you might look into this:
Newer, simpler and cheaper tests are now hitting the market, and experts say they may offer patients viable alternatives as early screenings.

I hope it pans out too. My step daughter has been fighting triple negative breast cancer for some time. She’s running low on treattment options. Her liver is doung something strange wich could prevent the trial study she was hoping for.

I’m glad you and your doctors aren’t members of the wet blanket brigade that show up here every time a promising treatment is mentioned. Best of luck to you and your son.

Mine was Stage 3 Stomach Tumor. Four Chem Chemo for 10 weeks, full heavy side effects, then full stomach removal. Lost a lot of weight and will eat tiny meals forever. Doing close-out pill chemo now but not a trace remained in biopsy — only a scar inside the stomach where the tumor had been. Still bad neuropathy in hands and feet — hope it fades but it may not.

I hope God will bless your son with a cure and continued life.

My best friend-and employer at the time-battled brain cancer for almost 5 years successfully-but the side effects of chemo caught up with him-we worked together on a bid one Friday-he gave up the battle that Sunday-that was almost 4 years ago and he had asked to try some experimental treatments not yet approved, but was denied-if there had been a Right to Try law he might still be here-I’m so glad pres Trump finally got one done...
