Agenda 21 - What Is It? Apparently is is a plan to reduce the population
Vanity | Various

Several people have become interested in a quite controversial topic called "AGENDA 21." They have requested being on a ping list for this topic.

While I do not have time to do a thorough treatment of this subject, nor am I in any way an expert, I am willing at least for a time,to ping people as I run across articles which might pertain to this concern.

It might be good to start with an examination of just what it is or might be.

To kick this discussion and exploration off,I did a Google search (just for fun) on "Agenda 21." There were a number of YouTube clips and various blogger links which surfaced in answer to the query.

The bottom line of this Agenda appears to be the plot, plan, and preparation of some very evil people (ie the UN and others) to reduce the population so that the Power Elite can control the people more easily.

Here are some of the links:

I wonder what effect a big quake in that area would have on Milwaukee. I live in the far NW part of the city, approx. 13 miles from the center of downtown. I have evac routes mapped out but that last post made me realize that I’m on the wrong side of a freeway and would possibly be cut off should bridges collapse.

Pinging the folks!

I receive alerts from time to time from some friends who follow world events letting me know about many which need prayer. I do not have at this moment the link to the article in question, but it seemed important enough to bring it to your attention, and I will see if I can obtain the relevant link and post it on this thread later.

This is regarding an upcoming effort in Geneva February 27 by the UN to basically create a treaty to take control of the internet.

For those who are inclined to pray, I encourage you to ask the Lord to intercede in this core of darkness arrayed against our freedom!

~~~~~~~
(Points to pray about from a Wall Street Journal article:)
· On February 27, a diplomatic process will begin in Geneva that could result in a new treaty giving the U.N. unprecedented powers over the Internet.
· Dozens of countries, including Russia and China, are pushing to reach this goal by the end of the year.
· The treaty is called the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), organized under the U.N.
· The current private-sector approach has been in operation since 1988 has been the key to the Internet’s success.
· Today, however, Russia and China and their allies within 193 member states of the ITU want to renegotiate the 1988 treaty to expand its reach into previously unregulated areas.
· Following is the list of proposals that will be on the table at a conference in December 2012 in Dubai.
· The International Telecommunications Treaty being organized under the United Nations.
· The meeting on February 27 in Gevena with leaders of countries who are part of discussions about the treaty, including Russia and China.
· The conference scheduled for December in Dubai to review or approve proposals for the treaty.
· The protection of the free use of the Internet and current de-regulation and private-sector approach.
· All plots to defraud the people of the freedom of communication and a free-market system.
Amen
Following is a partial list of proposals that will be discussed in December at a conference in Dubai from the WSJ article:
· Subject cyber security and data privacy to international control;
· Allow foreign phone companies to charge fees for “international” Internet traffic, perhaps even on a “per-click” basis for certain Web destinations, with the goal of generating revenue for state-owned phone companies and government treasuries;
· Impose unprecedented economic regulations such as mandates for rates, terms and conditions for currently unregulated traffic-swapping agreements known as “peering.”
· Establish for the first time ITU dominion over important functions of multi-stakeholder Internet governance entities such as the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, the nonprofit entity that coordinates the .com and .org Web addresses of the world;
· Subsume under intergovernmental control many functions of the Internet Engineering Task Force, the Internet Society and other multi-stakeholder groups that establish the engineering and technical standards that allow the Internet to work;
· Regulate international mobile roaming rates and practices.
Here is the link to the previously mentioned WSJ article regarding the upcoming
meeting(s) Feb. 27 in Geneva wherein they will be planning a treaty to allow the UN to take control of the internet.
The U.N. Threat to Internet Freedom
Top-down, international regulation is antithetical to the Net, which has flourished under its current governance model.
by Robert M McDowell
Excerpt:
On Feb. 27, a diplomatic process will begin in Geneva that could result in a new treaty giving the United Nations unprecedented powers over the Internet. Dozens of countries, including Russia and China, are pushing hard to reach this goal by year’s end. As Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said last June, his goal and that of his allies is to establish “international control over the Internet” through the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a treaty-based organization under U.N. auspices.
If successful, these new regulatory proposals would upend the Internet’s flourishing regime, which has been in place since 1988. That year, delegates from 114 countries gathered in Australia to agree to a treaty that set the stage for dramatic liberalization of international telecommunications. This insulated the Internet from economic and technical regulation and quickly became the greatest deregulatory success story of all time.
Since the Net’s inception, engineers, academics, user groups and others have convened in bottom-up nongovernmental organizations to keep it operating and thriving through what is known as a “multi-stakeholder” governance model. This consensus-driven private-sector approach has been the key to the Net’s phenomenal success.
>We must elect a person who is prolife and who will reduce Fedgov’s power over us!
I agree; but I’m not sure any of the offered candidates will do both.
It’s why I’m considering running for 2016.
Whenifhow has recently been busy researching and found this interesting nugget from the New York Times:
Activists Fight Green Projects, Seeing U.N. Plot
By LESLIE KAUFMAN and KATE ZERNIKE
Published: February 3, 2012
Exerpt:
Across the country, activists with ties to the Tea Party are railing against all sorts of local and state efforts to control sprawl and conserve energy. They brand government action for things like expanding public transportation routes and preserving open space as part of a United Nations-led conspiracy to deny property rights and herd citizens toward cities.
SNIP
It goes on to show how various protests across the country are having an effect at stopping Agenda 21 and “Sustainability.”
A quote from the article [bold face mine - texokie]:
‘ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL, MR. GINGRICH HAS CALLED AGENDA 21 AN IMPORTANT ISSUE AND HAS SAID, “I WOULD EXPLICITYLY REPUDIATE WHAT OBAMA HAS DONE ON AGENDA 21.”’
It mentions the: “Republican National Committee resolution, passed without fanfare on Jan. 13, declared, “The United Nations Agenda 21 plan of radical so-called ‘sustainable development’ views the American way of life of private property ownership, single family homes, private car ownership and individual travel choices, and privately owned farms; all as destructive to the environment.” [note: I have read discussions on this forum in which it is stated that it is NOT the RNC which came out with that resolution, but some other Republican organization.]
If you want to be on or off the Agenda 21 ping list, please notify me by Freepmail. It is a relatively low volume list in which we have been exploring the UN Agenda21 and related topics. We have collected our studies with threads, links, and discussions on this Agenda 21 thread.
This seems to be a very clear presentation of the history for the opposition to Agenda 21.
Is there something else I need to look at to fully understand the treachery they take? This is not a new thing, it is definitely and international leftie thing and it is an Un-American thing.
· Instead of protecting their citizens’ water resources, governments are increasingly not fulfilling their obligations but are succumbing to the pressure of giant transnational corporations that are poised to profit from making water a sellable commodity.
· Fortune magazine has predicted that “water is the oil of the 21st century.”
· Every third year the World Water Council organizes the World Water Forum. The Forum is the largest international event in the field of water.
· The 6th World Water Forum will take place in Marseilles, France, March 12 – 17, 2012.
For those inclined to do so, this matter might be a good one to put on your prayer altar!
This may be worth a ping to your list...
This week Dr. Paul Houser is interviewed by I SPY radio (http://www.ispyonsalem.com) about his unceremonious firing from the Dept of Interior....why? For asking questions about the SCIENCE behind the REMOVAL of 4 Dams in the Klamath Basin.....Turns out Interior Secretary Salazar said in 2009 that the dams would come out....but, then they had to go pretend to do the studies to make sure it happened....Dr. Houser, who is a WELL Respected hydrologist tells the story of what happened to him in asking a few questions about the accuracy of the press releases going out of the Dept. of Interior....he found out he was no longer welcome there. It will be on the I Spy website after 2pm Pacific time on Saturday, March 10th.
