What are you making for Easter Dinner?

Posted on 03/30/2010 8:10:58 PM PDT by HungarianGypsy

Every year we go to my husband's aunts house. Lately, I am lazy and we unexpectedly have a new dog. So, we are staying home and hopefully we can make a picnic in the backyard. It has been a long time since I started a foodie thread, so what are your plans/recipes for Easter dinner?

I’m still trying to shake an answer from the Mr.

Ham or a small beef brisket and ribs, I won’t know my sides until we settle the ham or brisket question.

Well, 2 things we will have for sure-

Deviled eggs (the Mr will be so fun later in the evening-ugh!)
Greek salad http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Greek-Pasta-Salad-I/Detail.aspx

Do you have a new dog or a puppy? We have a new puppy, it’s almost like having a small child! House training phew!

Yeah, that and the beheaded chicks and dismembered bunnies might freak out the little ones.

I am not sure. I do not have plans for the weekend.

Maybe chicken smothered with southern style blackeyed peas.

I am nothing if not a traditionalist...only yellow Peeps for me.

I actually like Peeps...and to me, sweet and gooey IS a flavor :)

We’re doing a ‘lupper’; late lunch, early supper. ;o) We’ll be singing at the Vigil Mass, so we won’t have to get up really early on Easter Sunday.;o)

Sorry to hear that TB. My condolences for all. Anybody who is the beneficiary of dozens and dozens of home baked cookies every week should invite his dear mom and dad for Easter dinner, IMHO!)

She’s adorable. She looks like somebody put black lipstick on her for the photo! What a ham!
