Every year we go to my husband's aunts house. Lately, I am lazy and we unexpectedly have a new dog. So, we are staying home and hopefully we can make a picnic in the backyard. It has been a long time since I started a foodie thread, so what are your plans/recipes for Easter dinner?
BBQ chicken and quail
Homemade potato salad
Homeade yeast rolls.
Adult beverages
Apple pie w/ homemade vanilla ice cream.
Then a long nap.
I’m still trying to shake an answer from the Mr.
Ham or a small beef brisket and ribs, I won’t know my sides until we settle the ham or brisket question.
Well, 2 things we will have for sure-
Deviled eggs (the Mr will be so fun later in the evening-ugh!)
Greek salad http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Greek-Pasta-Salad-I/Detail.aspx
Do you have a new dog or a puppy? We have a new puppy, it’s almost like having a small child! House training phew!
LOL LOL LOL
Yeah, that and the beheaded chicks and dismembered bunnies might freak out the little ones.
Leni
your comment gave me the giggles pretty bad! hahaha
I am not sure. I do not have plans for the weekend.
Maybe chicken smothered with southern style blackeyed peas.
When counseling fails a family business...
I am nothing if not a traditionalist...only yellow Peeps for me.
I actually like Peeps...and to me, sweet and gooey IS a flavor :)
Pork roast
Mashed potatoes
Mustard Cream Gravy
Spinach casserole
Some kind of fruit
Rolls
Apple/rhubarb crisp - Whipped cream
We’re doing a ‘lupper’; late lunch, early supper. ;o) We’ll be singing at the Vigil Mass, so we won’t have to get up really early on Easter Sunday.;o)
Honeybaked ham and cream corn
She’s adorable. She looks like somebody put black lipstick on her for the photo! What a ham!
Will be making home made chicken pot pie in a cake pan. Home made crust and everything.
Mmmm! Recipe, please and thank you.
Apricot curried lamb chops.
Varina! I haven’t ‘talked’ to you in ages! I hope that you’re doing well, and have a wonderful Easter Sunday.
How do you do a cola baked ham? Sounds good.
