Key Concepts
* Neandertals, our closest relatives, ruled Europe and western Asia for more than 200,000 years. But sometime after 28,000 years ago, they vanished.
* Scientists have long debated what led to their disappearance. The latest extinction theories focus on climate change and subtle differences in behavior and biology that might have given modern humans an advantage over the Neandertals.

No mystery. It seems that they elected a Kenyan born socialist who was bent on their destruction. First he destroyed their economy and then mandated government health care that determined "end of life" for all of them to save money. Those that weren't done away with in this fashion were taxed to death.
One factor is their lack of cultural adaptivity.
They were culturally monotonous where ever they dwelt in the world.
They were competing with us. What the heck do you think happened? LOL!

I know what killed them off. They were Democrats and thought like modern day Democrats while the humans were Conservatives. The Neandertals probably followed each other over a cliff one day. /kidding.
LOL! GMTA!
I wonder why they didn’t migrate out of unstable Europe farther south? Our ancestors blocked them?
Let Neanderthals be Neanderthals!

In other words, Neanderthals were beaten out by humans who were sew sew.
Now you're just needling me, Bill.

Thanks decimon for posting this, and thanks wildbill for the ping and comments. To all -- please ping me to other topics which are appropriate for the GGG list. The Neandertal EnigmaFrayer's own reading of the record reveals a number of overlooked traits that clearly and specifically link the Neandertals to the Cro-Magnons. One such trait is the shape of the opening of the nerve canal in the lower jaw, a spot where dentists often give a pain-blocking injection. In many Neandertal, the upper portion of the opening is covered by a broad bony ridge, a curious feature also carried by a significant number of Cro-Magnons. But none of the alleged 'ancestors of us all' fossils from Africa have it, and it is extremely rare in modern people outside Europe." [pp 126-127] |
