Anyhow, in the process of cleaning out boxes, it came to me....the questions that we all ask ourselves as we uncover chunks of our long lost past.....
What WAS I thinking!?!
So, my questions to all of you are:
What hobby or interest did you have when you were younger that you still have a passion for?
Ok, now....is there something you used to do that you now think "I can't believe I used to like that!"
Same with music---
What was your favorite band/song in highschool, then early adulthood compared to now? (Those still in early adulthood have only 2 questions to answer. Or maybe just one ;))
Is there anything in your interests, hobbies or life that would surprise people who know you? (Nothing weird, just.....) And if it invovles being on wanted posters, you can skip the question :)
Thank you. Yes, it was. I thought my world had ended and I just wanted to die. I am finally, after all of this time, beginning to see that perhaps God has a reason for my still being here.
Yes....I actually go to a pretty large church and they have a current artist there almost every Sunday night as a youth outreach. Jars of Clay plays at the Harvest Crusades that our pastor does and at Church sometimes.
I like classic Rock, but can not really get into the modern rock today. I also listen to that Christian radio station, and often listen online in the background, since I live in the hills and regular radio reception is not that reliable.
I have not seen that book, but I think Mercy Me wrote that song when one of the member's Dad died? I will have to look for it in the church bookstore. I also think their song Homesick was written when one of the band's members that died.
Well, the pay is better than ANY job I have had so far, enabling me to keep current with the bills, and save money every week. The owner's wife is the OPPOSITE of him, and is always paying me compliments, too much, IMO.(But just as liberal.) The hours are very good too. Less hours for more pay than ever.
As long as that does not happen often... I will manage. But the "shine"is gone, so to speak.
I have to be getting ready for work in 4 1/2 hours. But thought you'd better see this.
I felt that way when my ex and me split up. But not quite that bad, I'm sure.
I'm glad you are still with us.
Thank you. I am, too.
on your recommendation awhile back I signed up at Conservative Match. Have had MANY interesting contacts etc..ONE however spooked me out. a man from IRAN who is half my age. AND many contacts. I turned over my info/account to the FBI. I just had a very, very bad feeling about him. I can still see my account but no posting etc for now
Ciao, Bella!!
good night Goodgirl
Here's a link some of you will really enjoy. It is a link to a radio station on the web that plays only live performances form mostly the 60's and early 70's, but not limited to that as they play some Springsteen from the later 70's too.
Most of the bands are like this: Cream, James Taylor, Vanilla Fudge, Quicksilver Messenger Service, The Grateful Dead, Big Brother and the Holding Company (with Janis Joplin), Van Morrison, Joe Cocker, Bob Dylan, the Doors, etc.
Jimi Hendrix is on now from a performance at the Fillmore West from 12/31/69.
Click on the link. On the page it displays, click where it says "Play Now! Click here to launch the vault radio player".
Add it to your favorites.
This site is really something. They have posters and photos from just about every band you can think of. You can spend a whole day looking at this site.
Here's the link: http://www.wolfgangsvault.com/Static.aspx?Type=Audio/Radio.htm
FReeper Scott Says turned me on to this link and I'm glad he did.
Freeper Day10 posted that a week or so ago, good stuff, I have marked it as a favorite.
What other thread?? This is fantastic! I'd love to eat just a gold covered almond!
Did anyone get any sleep last night?
I wish I knew, I promise I would tell you!
Maybe we want too much, maybe there are very few that actually find their soul mate. I think if I got on the net and was willing to relocate, perhaps I could find him but relocation for me is not possible, at least not for the next five years. Besides, how would you really be able to spend time with them and find out if you are truly compatible if they are so far away? I would want to spend a great deal of time together to make sure I wasn't making a big mistake. This thread was a good idea because we know we all have the commonality of being conservative types but you run into the same logistical problems here as on dating sites, distance!
I work for a pretty big company, there are 5 married couples I know of, at least 4 met at work. One couple I admire greatly, eat lunch together, take walks together, treat each other with respect and seem to just enjoy each other's company. That's the kind of relationship I want, I'm sure it's not always honky dory but it looks like it from the outside in. I'm not prepared to accept anything less than this type of relationship, I'd rather be alone and it looks like a good possibility that will happen.
