The modern diners sitting before Sams were about to eat the first reconstruction of that feasta celebration that had remained undiscovered for decades after archaeologist Rodney S. Young first excavated Midas' tomb in 1957. Ancient Roman, Greek, or even Maya banquets had been re-created previously, but generally from texts and ancient recipes. Not so with the Midas feast. You mean you never even actually went shopping?
Well, in that case, at least you saved money, for today at least. ;)
Good night!
Nope, no shopping. Didn't even stick my nose outside. Did get showered. Didn't get dressed. Ate a couple of things, and I'm ready for more. And I've been "about to quit being online" for a half hour or more...
It's still early here, but I have some other things I have to do.
All this made me sleepy.
I want to know the recipes! I think it's wonderful fun to recreate ancient foods...I mostly do renaissance and up, but have played with much earlier recipes from time to time...
