Dear Mr. Lincoln
I teach my students
About you
Once a year I introduce them
To you
Who you were
Your humble upbringing
Your thirst for knowledge
A thirst, which brought you out into the world
Of the learned
Your hunger for Justice
A hunger, which brought you to the law
Yet no simple vocations could keep you sated
You were born for a task, which in the end would destroy
You
In the few years I have had as opportunity to know you
It was in this one moment
In the midst of a struggle
One likely to strengthen or shatter your beloved republic once again
In the aftermath of the gross inhumanity of Americans
consumed with hatred
Did I rediscover your humanity
I was taken by the stark contrast of how you looked
In the months preceding, and in the passing days of your great struggle
Photographs, taken only four years apart
Yet on any other man they would look more like a dozen
Your eyes and heart fatigued by the weight of so much tragedy
All for something you truly believed in
The freedom of a people
The right of self-governance and the exercise of free will
A right only guaranteed by the sacrifice of these blessings
Given by those who were chosen by age, time, and fate
It was a task you were not permitted to complete
Taken at a moment of peace
lost
In the aftermath of the gross inhumanity
Of another American
consumed with hatred
It is in this example and that of your leadership
That I learned the most valuable lesson of all
The cost of freedom to a people
The right to self-governance
And the exercise of free will

Judging by your report, I'd say it really pays to be their only customer. Or perhaps the only one who survived.
Would you be able to "hangar" it in a, or your, garage with the folding wing?
Maybe you could do some specialty photography to pay for your hobby. "Lakeside photographic portraits of your beautiful home!!! Display your estate from a unique perspective!! Contact ...."

Hey Louie! We'll be in St. Louis next week. We're going to be on constant field trips while we're there, checking out all the things we've studied in American History this year. How's the weather?

Busy, but slowing down. I have an aunt with a brain tumor in Arkansas, so we are going to go see her soon. First we're going to St. Louis to see our nephew graduate, then we'll go on down to Arkansas. I'm excited about it because we're going to be seeing a lot of things I've had on my list to do with the kids and I'm looking forward to seeing my Aunt, who is not expected to live much longer. It will be a bitter sweet trip.
Then after that trip, I should have a lot more free time. We won't be doing co-ops next year, so that free's me up. :)
How is your dog?
To: Victoria Delsoul
What a beautiful sound. I like this song. It makes me sleepy.
To: SpookBrat
Sorry to hear about your Aunt, but the trip sounds exciting. You must be looking forward to it.
Charlie is doing fine, thanks. He's 8 months old today, he is very cute and very active. Keeps me busy in the evenings between posts, LOL.

My suggestion, see if you can locate a "mood ring" to give to "The Gestapo" as a joke. Then when you are trying to figure out how to respond, make a show of looking for the ring so you will know her "mood."
It might help to just tell her that's what you want to do, if you can catch her in the right mood! The theory behind the suggestion is to try to bring to her awareness the fact that she is unpredictable, and therefor makes people nervous and apprehensive. The downside is, that may be what she wants!
Your retail people are in a death spiral and don't know it. Every new manager will be infected with the same attitude, and the problem will continue. If you care, you could try going up the chain with your concern, (request anonymity!), explain that the nervousness of the management is being communicated to the employees. There is a faint possibility that the store could be saved by a corporate cheerleader, but it seems unlikely.

Experimental planes can not be used for commercial purposes, at all. I bought the 6th kit. It was the first to be built by the purchaser. I helped them with the documentation, and several mods. To date they have sold 1,200 plus kits. Ownership of the design/mfr has changed only once since I bought. That is good in the kitplane market.
The one I plan to build next has been under the same management since the beginning. the design is 15 years old
Unless you understand aircraft design and the engineering associated with it, don't build a kit. There is some crap out there.
Yes a folding wing permits storage in a garage but towing over highways put more stress than flying.
