Microsoft Haiku for Friday:

Your file was so big.
It might be very useful.
But now it is gone.

The website you seek
Cannot be located, but
Countless more exist.

Chaos reigns within.
Reflect, repent and reboot.
Order shall return.

Aborted effort.
Close all that you have worked on.
You ask far too much.

Windows NT crashed.
I am the Blue Screen of Death.
No-one hears your screams.

Yesterday it worked.
Today it is not working.
Windows is like that.

Stay the patient course.
Of little worth is your ire.
The network is down.

A crash reduces.
Your expensive computer
To a simple stone.

Three things are certain:
Death, taxes and lost data.
Guess which has occurred.

You step in the stream,
But the water has moved on.
This page is not here.

Out of memory.
We wish to hold the whole sky,
But we never will.

Having been erased,
The document you’re seeking
Must now be retyped.

I ate your Web page.
Forgive me; it was tasty
And tart on my tongue.

And now for something completely way out: Starry Night

The deepest portrait of the visible universe, by the Hubble telescope. Awe inspiring!!

Astronomers at the Space Telescope Science Institute unveiled the deepest portrait of the visible universe ever achieved in this image released March 9, 2004 taken by Hubble’s Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) and the Near Infrared Camera and Multi-object Spectrometer (NICMOS). The image which is called the Hubble Ultra Deep Field (HUDF), captured after the million-second-long exposure reveals the first galaxies to emerge from the so-called ‘dark ages,’ the time shortly after the big bang when the first stars reheated the cold, dark universe. The HUDF observations began Sept. 24, 2003 and continued through Jan. 16, 2004. The telescope’s ACS camera, the size of a phone booth, captured ancient photons of light that began traversing the universe even before Earth existed. Photons of light from the very faintest objects arrived at a trickle of one photon per minute, compared with millions of photons per minute from nearer galaxies.

Is the latest view of an expanding halo of light around a distant star, named V838 Monocerotis (V838 Mon). The illumination of interstellar dust comes from the red supergiant star at the middle of the image, which gave off a flashbulb-like pulse of light two years ago. Astronomers said the image of the distant expanding star bears a striking resemblance to Vincent van Gogh’s painting ‘The Starry Night.’

Hubble Heritage Team image shows the Sombrero Galaxy. A team of international scientists has observed a distant galaxy that has never been glimpsed before, so remote that its light takes billions of light-years to reach the earth, according to researchers.

Sorry. I cannot laugh today. I am fasting on humor. Please do not say or do anything funny.

Thanks

A Prayer, 1918

Oh, make us worthy,
God, we pray,
To do Thy service
Here today;
Endow us with
The strength we need
For every
Sacrificial deed!

Today's theme is about brothers,
But we still enjoy many others.
Never apologize for being patriotic.
At Amy's Place, that would be idiotic.

Hi Mrs Tiggywinkle, I decided to try my hand at this poem writing. :)

Good morning, Bro.

Did you notice that today's theme is brothers? Happy Brother's Day.

"Havin' fun on that 'other' thread, eh?"

I didn't get much accomplished last night, between the other thread and the other site. :)

I hope you are having a beautiful Friday.

Still trying to follow CG's footsteps. But in regard to children, here's something you may enjoy:

Sisters

Jenny and Sarah are sisters,
They don’t get along very well.
Each of them loves the other,
But neither of them will tell.

They go to school together,
They then go a separate way.
The unfortunate fact of life is,
That’s going to happen some day.

I try to show them I love them,
At least that’s a part of my plan.
I’m hoping they’ll love one another.
When Daddy no longer can.
