We were told that 2021 would be the year when everything starts to get back to normal. But that hasn’t exactly been the case, has it? It has been just over a month, and there is still chaos everywhere. We have seen a wild riot at the U.S. Capitol, civil unrest has been erupting in major cities from coast to coast, millions of people have filed for unemployment benefits, a president was impeached, and a crazy ride on Wall Street made “GameStop” a national phenomenon. That would normally be enough for an entire year, but we are still in the first week of February.
All throughout history there have been critical turning points when events have greatly accelerated, and it appears that we have reached one of those turning points.
In fact, this may be turn out to be the biggest turning point of them all.
Millions upon millions of Americans can sense that big trouble is ahead. For many, it is like a “gut feeling” that they just can’t shake.
Just a few days ago, my wife met a woman from the west coast that just moved here. This woman and her husband were desperate to leave California, and they felt very strongly that they should move somewhere safe.
What makes her story remarkable is the fact that my wife and I have heard similar stories from others countless times over the past 12 months.
Our nation is being shaken in thousands of different ways, and so many of us can feel that things are building up to some sort of a grand crescendo.
So that is why so many Americans are stockpiling guns, silver and food right now.

Is this a trick question?
The democrat leadership brings many things all of them bad.
Stockpiling Silver or Gold is just asinine. In a collapse, water and alcohol would be worth far more.

“ I don’t get the silver part. It’s worthless if the SHTF. It’ll be all about bartering. Cigarettes, liquor, beer are good things to have handy.”
Sure, all the item you listed will be useful in a barter economy. But, so will silver and gold. In fact, lots of bug-out folks have bought what’s known as big coin or bag silver, old coins that have numismatic value.
Food is not what it used to be. Back in the day you could store years of food. Today six month is most without it going bad especially meats.
Yep.
I see the same thing, including at military commissaries.
Somewhere, there are supply chain disruptions, or suppliers are not getting paid on time, etc.
If you’re worried about stock piling NOW...
You’re too late.
ps. Home built greenhouse is working great !
Guns I can understand, and food.
In SHFF situation, silver will not be worth as much as a box of 9x19 cartridges.
Yes. But you can get food storage packed to last 25 years fairly cheaply. At least you could a couple of years back when I completed mine. A years supply was less than $1000 per person.
Beans and rice make complete protein and will keep you alive a long time and are cheap in bulk. You might hate life though.
Gee I don’t know. 😂
Because teh country is being run by elitist fascists, including many of the GOPe.
When freedom diminishes. Americans have learned that we have to take care of our selves without any national government.
And so it goes.
To many Americans, the Federal Government simply no longer exists. They are quite right of course.
Why? These things can be used to barter for toilet paper!
Lol. I’m just disappointed that our regular groceries don’t last as long. I bought 10 boxes of Mac and cheese (kraft) two years ago thinking they’d last forever. The noodles are ok but the cheese changed color and tastes awful. That’s just one example of how bad food preservation has become. Our ancestors could save food forever. Not sure how they did it but I suspect preservatives are the culprit.
The bigger question:
WHY NOT ???????
Also handy barter for SHTF: Batteries, radios, medicines, binoculars, solar phone chargers, flashlights, hunting knives, bows & arrows, bicycles, water purifiers, ponchos, etc.
The undercurrent here in N Nevada has grown & grown.
