Blogger admits Hawaii birth certificate forgery, subverting Obama claims (Uh-oh)

Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.

The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.

The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.

Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.

McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

That's certainly a fair conclusion. Like I said, the photo fixes the place, but not the time. All other speculation based on the photo has to account, one way or another, for the time.

In other states, journalists would be able to get a certified copy a B.C..

Besides, we would have already been able to ascertain what the first two series of numbers should be : " 151 1961 .... ".

Provided of course, that it was actually issued a C.N. in the first place.

How did MarKos get his copy....?? His "sometimes that 'journalism' thing works" reply just doesn't wash.

If BIGLOOK has been to the terminal several times and recognizes it, then this picture must be of the new terminal (opened in 1962).

Unless, perhaps, BIG LOOK recognizes it from dozens of trip PRIOR to 1962.

Let's not be so hasty in making that conclusion.

The caption at the photo site said the picture was the "Pan American Ticket Lobby, Honolulu International Airport, 1960."

So, if the picture says it's from 1960, the new terminal was dedicated in 1962, and the old terminal was shut down immediately afterwards, then is the Obama picture in the old terminal or did they build a new terminal identical to the old terminal, or something else?

Was the Obama picture taken in a terminal that looks like the 1960 terminal that was shut down in 1962 (but the photo was taken in 1971), did the Hawaii government get the date wrong by a decade on the old terminal photo, did they build a duplicate terminal, or what?

I can understand if someone's memory is hazy whether something happened when you were 10 or 11, but when you connect it to something easily checked (the Watergate Hearings), it's inexcusable to get the dates wrong.

I am reposting this to include the entire comment. The other thing I noticed from the secong paragraph is that BIGLOOK made a comment about the customs and baggage claim being on the concourse BELOW. Didn’t someone upthread say that the old one was single story and the new one is two stories?

The question is ‘are they leaving Hawaii or is she there to pick him up?’

Both look to fresh to have just gotten off a long flight from overseas. Besides the area is the ticketing counters and check in, not Customs and Baggage Claims which is on the concourse below. I suspect one or both were leaving.

KEEP IN MIND, THIS COMMENT WAS MADE WELL BEFORE THERE WAS A DATE ISSUE. WE WERE STILL TRYING TO CONFIRM WHICH AIRPORT THIS WAS - SFO OR HNL. AND, WE ONLY HAD THE “WEDDING” PHOTO, NOT THE OBAMA I AND II PHOTO.

SO, I’M SURE IT’S FROM THE NEW TERMINAL.

David, your sentence structure is hard to follow, but I'll try.

1. Marriage certificate: I didn't state that I thought Dunham and Obama were ever married (and neither did the article I cited) in fact, it's reasonable to assume that the divorce was bogus, and only filed to get an equally bogus wedding date on record. 
   
2. Your words: "It can't be said to prove anything to demonstrate that they were married in Kenya; but if you could, you put her, pregnant, in Kenya, and you are part way to explaining how she was there and didn't get back for the birth." How does not being married in Hawaii somehow translate into being married in Kenya? How about this very simple theory: they were never married, anywhere, anyplace, and the whole marriage story was part of the fairy tale told by Stanley Ann Dunham, and perpetuated by BO to cover a rather sordid story of a foreign student from Kenya who impregnated a teenager who was infatuated with his "blackness", and then the owner of that "blackness" skipped out on both her and the baby.
3. Your words: "Take the other simple: Break from school; she has dropped out. And? She was pregnant, and her parents were very likely horrified. I don't know how old you are, but it was not socially acceptable to be pregnant and unmarried in 1960/61. BO can blather all he wants about his grandparents and/or Hawaii being so open-minded, but the Dunhams were not unconventional -- unconventional types didn't own homes,  work in banks and sell insurance in those days.
   
4. Your words: "Wedding picture" says Barack; in the Departure Lounge of the Honolulu airport. Too early (Christmas decorations still up) to be February 2." Can you please direct me to the source where Barack has called those photos "wedding pictures?"  I haven't seen it, anywhere. The Christmas decorations were still up because (surprise!) it was still the Christmas season of 1971/72, when Obama's ostensible "father" came to visit him and Stanley Ann in Hawaii.
   
5. Your words: "The obvious inference is that they are going somewhere to get married. Where are they going? I don't have a lot of trouble with the blanks." No, "they" weren't going anywhere. The pictures -- one with BO, Sr. and Stanley Ann, and the other with ten-year-old BO, Jr., were taken in 1971, and BO, Sr. was either arriving from or departing to destination Kenya.

And yes, you are having way too much trouble "with the blanks." It's called "making the facts fit the theory," and it doesn't work.

Look, if you believe there's a problem with the birth cert (and I'm not convinced there is), then, as I've said before, why not entertain a much simpler theory? I can think of at least two that might not be as spectacularly explosive as the messiah being born outside the US, but they would certainly do damage to the whole carefully constructed fiction of his birth and ancestry.
