The researchers found a Philistine cemetery in Israel – home to 145 human remains dating back to between the 11th and the 8th centuries BC. The discovery, made in 2013 and finally revealed in 2016, may yield answers to an enduring mystery surrounding the origins of the Philistines. It came at the end of a 30-year excavation by the Leon Levy Expedition. The Philistines were an ancient people who lived from the 12th century BC until 604 BC. They are known for their biblical conflict with the Israelites.
It’s amazing how much anthropologists can make up... er, I mean detect from a few bones.
The article opines that Goliath is the best-known Philistine now. But what about Delilah? Sexist author!

I always wanted to know for sure what that “firmament” was, or the Sons of Heaven and “Heroes of Reknown” that came about when the Sons of Heaven came together with the “Daughters of Men”.
Heck, I would have liked to know more about who Cain, Abel, Seth (and any other sons) married in those early years.
I think they know they were Philistines from the artifacts buried with them—not the bones.

I’m not much on the Bible, but I don’t think Delilah was Philistine. Otherwise why did the Philistines have to bribe her to find out Samson’s weakness.

Delilah was a Philistine. Samson was a proto-Florida man.
