Apparently there have been some 'Snake-Oil' salespersons selling Jesus as a cure-all. For instance I am acquainted with two individuals who profess to be Christians. One is a confessed thief and the other a habitual liar (people pleaser). These two expect God to 'fix' them. So if God chose to take on that responsibility then the next morning the thief wakes and reaches up to scratch his nose only to discover his hands are missing and the liar is unable to speak as his tongue is missing.
