The House Oversight Committee released some Jeffrey Epstein emails this morning, and, sure enough, Donald Trump is in the Epstein Files. Like a malignant ghost that haunts the President’s dreams, Epstein has risen from the great beyond to point his bony finger at Donald Trump, saying, “it was you all along.” Or has he? In an April 2, 2011 message to his associate and fixer Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein wrote “i want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump.” Then, the word VICTIM appears in a black box, followed by “he has never once been mentioned. police...

  • Can someone check if I'm seeing this correctly? Is YouTube censoring\removing videos on Sound of Freedom?

I've been following the YouTube reactions to Sound of Freedom. A week ago or so, the YouTube videos and reactions were endless. Now it seems like almost all of the videos referring to it are older than a week old. This is odd as there have been so many interviews with Cavezial and Ballard. Here's what comes up in a YouTube search when I search by most recent upload date: Song of the Dragon and Freedom/Light Guiding Ceremony/Prologue:Act 3 1 view 7 hours ago De Libertate: Sounds of Freedom and Hope from Ukraine [updated] 17 views 8 hours ago Concerning...

  • Dem Philosophy More Authoritarian Than GOP's - Or Am I Nuts?

No opinion pieces having particularly incited my ire at my normal haunts of the NY Times, LA Times or Boston Globe this morning, I ventured over to the Huffington Post, and found this beauty by Cliff Schecter, "Are You Psychotic? Because Empirically That Makes You Susceptible To Being A Republican."It in turn touted a study by a social work master’s student at Southern Connecticut State University purporting to find that there exists "a direct link between mental illness and support for President Bush."And how does the study's author explain the results? “If your world is very mixed up, there’s something...

Last week, I wrote a column about Jose Padilla, AKA the "dirty bomber." In order to avoid repeating myself, let me give short-shrift to my argument and sum up as briefly as possible. I argued then, and believe now, that the U.S. government has the right and, in this case, the obligation to run roughshod over many of Padilla's rights. Padilla is an enemy combatant. And, according to the Constitution, legal precedent, international law and, most of all, common sense, the U.S. government has the right to treat enemy combatants as, well, enemy combatants -even when the combatant in...
