LOS ANGELES A new study by Harvard University and the National Institute of Mental Health (search) claims that 46 percent of all Americans will, at some point in their lives, develop a mental disorder.

PING!!!!!!
Given enough time, they will diagnose everyone as abnormal.
and sKerry got 49% . . . hmmmmmm . . . coincidence ?
Yeah, and a few of the liberal Independents.
I guess it depends on who is making the allegation. Not too long ago I read where 65% of mental health professionals came into their professions due to the fact that they were seeking answers to their own psychiatric/psychological problems.
They all voted for Al Gore in 2000. No kidding! They're fruit cakes! They need all the psychiatric help they can get. They're still suffering from self mutilation to this very day - 5 years later.
Exactly why GHWB's signing the Americans with disabilities act forced me to vote for Ross Perot in 1992.
NASCAR fans?
I'm perfectly sane...but the voices in my head have been sounding a little depressed recently.
Well, this is a place for this joke I read recently:
Barber shop conversation according to IQ Scores
A popular Des Moines Barber shop had a new robotic barber installed. A fellow came in for a haircut. As the robot began to cut his hair it asked him, "What's your IQ?"
The man replied, "130." So the robot proceeded to make conversation about physics, astronomy, investments, insurance, and so on. The man listened intently and said, "This is really cool."
Later, another gent came in for a haircut and the robot asked him as it began the haircut, "What's your IQ?" The man responded, "100." So the robot started talking about football, baseball, and so on. The man thought to himself, "Wow, this is really cool."
Later on, a third guy came in to the barbershop. As with the others, the robot barber asked him, "What's your IQ?" The man replied, "70." The robot then said, "So, I understand you Democrats are really excited about Hillary running for president."
I guess this all depends on who gets to set the criteria.
> National Institute of Mental Health
Have any congresscritters been making noise about cutting
NIMH funding?
This is exactly what I'd expect from a useless agency
feeling threatened. Puffery about alleged dangers the
public might have to face without them.
Ticked off country folk in 5...4...3...
good one.
Damn, I made another statistical list!
Having seen what passes for accepted logic in the mental health field, I am convinced that the 46% figure was probably reached from observing that approximately that percentage of the U.S. public will work in the mental health profession at some point in their lives.
As for the democrats, it is true that some of them think Bush is the Anti-Christ and that terrorists, PETA, socialists, communists and marxists all have their best interests at heart.
To them, Bush was wrong to strike out at terrorists, but 09/11 was simply a justified reaction to our poor policy decisions.
