It's been 500 years since Martin Luther pointed out the errors being made by the Papacy, claiming to be the One True Church. Now, despite the protests to the errant teaching of the Catholic Church, the "movers and shakers" in the charismatic movement are guiding their flocks toward a reunification with Rome, who continues to mislead many. God warns us to ready to rebuke false teachings...yet so many are now embracing it in the spirit of "unity." Likes lambs to the slaughter, the spiritually unaware are potentially fulfilling the predicted one-world religion that will manifest in the end time. John...

Virtually every morning I try to catch up on news and sports while running on my treadmill. Often the running (mostly walking) is accompanied by the vigorous exercise of my remote. Recently, I flipped into an interview involving Singaporean mega-pastor Joseph Prince. The more I tuned in, the faster my heart rate. Disregard for the meaning and context of Scripture was simply breathtaking. It all led up to taking a shower and beginning work on a book now titled The Osteenification of American Christianity. Why Osteenification? Because Joel Osteen is the prime provocateur of a seductive brand of American Christianity...

...Contending for the faith can be a grueling job, considering all the variations offered to us. 1. What is a proper definition of faith? 2. How can it be applied to our lives? A sound understanding of faith may take some patience and thoughtful understanding today as we tackle just a few of the many differences between a healthy faith and the kind that leads to a very troubled praxeology**. [....] This “optimism” in one’s faith rather than a God Centered faith is really an old heresy that started with the early influence of Gnosticism on the Desert Fathers. [....]...

When one really takes the time to look deeper into the “feel-good†message of smiling Joel Osteen it becomes crystal clear that his doctrine is actually far worse than spiritual junk-food. As you’ll see in this article, originally published August 30, 2005, it is indeed the spiritual poison of the Word Faith Movement which is seeping up through its decadent and decaying root in the metaphysical Mind Science cults and then thoroughly saturating Osteen’s own-far from innocuous-teachings.The “Cotton Candy†Appeal of Joel OsteenJoel Osteen, pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas, is perhaps the fastest rising TV preacher in...

CHARITY: Even some Pentecostals are skeptical of Todd Bentley’s tent revival | Rusty Leonard and Warren Cole Smith Canadian Todd Bentley doesn't look much like a minister. The 32-year-old has body piercings and tattoos on his arms and neck, and he often dresses in black. But a minister of the gospel he is, or claims to be—and those claims have become the real story of a series of meetings Bentley is holding in Lakeland, Fla. Bentley's British Columbia-based Fresh Fire Ministries arrived in Lakeland on April 2 for five days of revival meetings at a local church. These services would...

<p>"Life in the Word does not mean life in the streets."</p>
<p>These words were plastered on signs carried by homeless women outside the Edward Jones Dome in late October. Inside, TV evangelist Joyce Meyer held her International Women's Convention.</p>
<p>Perhaps the homeless need to pick their venues more carefully. More than 15,000 women were expected to attend the three-day event. They spent big bucks, dressed up in fancy duds, and came downtown for an evening of spiritual uplift. Being confronted by the homeless must be a bit of a downer. The Rev. Larry Rice said he heard that Meyer's security officers had hustled the homeless women out of the area.</p>
