President Barack Obama has enthusiastically endorsed Hillary Clinton, but his wife Michelle Obama remains silent since the former first lady claimed the presidential candidacy for the Democratic party. Surprisingly, Michelle Obama made no mention of Clinton’s historic moment for women during the entire White House United State of Women conference, produced by Obama’s senior advisor Valerie Jarrett. The First Lady participated an interview with Oprah Winfrey during the conference which focused heavily on the power of women — but Hillary Clinton was not discussed by Winfrey or Obama.

The 22nd annual Women's Conference came to Long Beach on Wednesday and, at least at the beginning, men stole the show. The conference got off to a humorous start during what was billed as a "once in a lifetime conversation" between Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and billionaire investor extraordinaire Warren Buffett, moderated by television political talk show host Chris Matthews. But what could have been austere talk about falling stock prices and glass ceilings drew laughter and gasps from many of the 10,000 women in the audience when Buffett, playing to the crowd, hit Matthews with a particularly challenging question: "If...

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger gave a plug Tuesday to the women in his life — his mother, his mother-in-law, his wife and chief of staff — during a women's conference that was being protested by female union members. The conference was the scene two years ago of the governor's much-publicized clash with members of the California Nurses Association, who were protesting outside. But in a reflection of Schwarzenegger's improved political fortunes, their rally Tuesday outside the Long Beach Convention Center was far smaller than the noisy events unions held during last year's special election. Schwarzenegger kept his remarks brief, speaking for...

First lady Laura Bush told military wives at Fort Hood, Texas, last week that she knows what it's like "having your life turned upside-down because the man you love wants to serve the country he loves." During a March 5 visit to Fort Hood, Mrs. Bush thanked participants in the Fort Hood Women's Conference for their sacrifices in helping their spouses fulfill their dreams—dreams, she said, are protecting America's security. The first lady acknowledged the long list of military units that hail from the Lone Star State and the important role they are playing in the role in terror. "Over...
