Izzadine Salim ,head of the Iraqi Provisional Governing Council was among 10 Iraqis murdered this morning in a car bombing. 6 other Iraqia were seriously wounded,and 2 US soldiers were slightly wounded. The bombing occurred as the 5 vehicle convoy in which the victims were riding slowed for a US checkpoint near the Governing Council buildings. A red Volkswagen sped up,alongside Salim's vehicle,and detonated with enormous force. Salim is the 2nd Council member to be murdered.Akila Hashimi was gunned down on September 20,2003,and perished 5 days later.
