THE UNKNOWN KING OF TERROR and the Coming Lebanon Civil WarBy Dr. Jack WheelerLast week, we discussed how there could be a light at the end of the terrorist tunnel. Now let’s talk about how that light could be an oncoming train. One of the most famous quotes of America’s favorite philosopher, Yogi Berra, is: “It’s never over until it’s over.” We’ve all been swept away with democracy seeming to march ineluctably forward in the Middle East, thrilled by the sea of red and white Lebanese flags waved in Beirut’s Martyr’s Square, and confidant that the Cedar Revolution will be victorious...

Sufi Wisdom of the Week: Let Love Rule -- The Sufis Ain't WahhabiBy Joe Katzman As militant Islam does its level best to discredit the religion, it's important to remember that there are other voices within the faith. One such is the Sufis, the Islamic mystics who live islam (submission), iman (faith) and ishan (awareness of G-d, "to act beautifully"). The Wahhabi hate them, of course, which constitutes an endorsement in my books. The great poet Rumi was a Sufi, and so were many other figures of religious and cultural significance. I've come to appreciate the Sufis for their poetry,...

On May 7, we saw a blatant example of how far our campuses had fallen, courtesy of the near-riot at SFSU. While a pro-Palestinian crowd swarmed pro-Israel rally members, used physical violence, and shouted "Get out or we will kill you" and "Hitler did not finish the job," administration officials on the scene did nothing. For those who want a refresher, Glenn Reynolds of FoxNews.com has the details. Many bloggers have linked up with Winds of Change, commenting on new materials from locals who were involved and adding their own perspective on the SFSU situation. To get started, just head...
