A former Southern Poverty Law Center finance officer was charged Wednesday for her role in secretly paying informants who participated in white supremacist groups over the past decade. Heidi Beirich made an initial appearance in federal court, according to her defense attorney Michael Proctor. CNN reported that she had been arrested earlier Wednesday.
