Turns out there is a silver lining to five justices on the U.S. Supreme Court committing what amounts to cultural self-immolation last week — it winnowed the crowded field of 2016 GOP presidential candidates considerably. After analyzing the historical demographics of the first-in-the-nation Iowa caucuses, along with the overall environment on the ground, I’m confident we already know who can win here next February and who cannot. Championship Tier Given the demographic dominance of evangelicals in the Iowa Caucuses, where they’re about 60 percent of the vote, as well as Iowa Republicans’ documented disdain for activist judges (see Iowa’s historic...

The Supreme Court’s decision Friday that same sex marriages are constitutionally guaranteed hasn’t brought the love out from the left — it’s brought out their hate. And it’s disgusting. Jeffrey Luscombe, who describes himself as a gay, Canadian freelance writer, thought it was humorous when a black man, wearing an “Ask Me About Jesus” sweatshirt, was blown kisses by a group of men as he tried to make his way through a gay pride event.

A "white people against white supremacy" rally and teach-in organized by the advocacy group European Dissent took place at Lafayette Square on Sunday, June 28, 2015. The gathering honored the nine black people who were murdered in Charleston, S.C. last week. "We stand in solidarity with black communities and other communities of color who bear the brunt of white supremacy and racism, here in New Orleans and across the world," the group said in a statement. "White supremacy is part of the fabric of America. White supremacy works through all of our systems and institutions to marginalize, silence, devalue, undermine,...

This morning Pope Francis told the bishops of Puerto Rico, in Rome on their ad limina visit, that the beauty of marriage between man and woman is threatened by the ideology of gender. He also urged them to emphasize family pastoral ministry in order to counteract serious social problems resulting from the assault on traditional family values. Noting that "so-called gender ideology" is challenging the complementarity between a man and a woman under the guise of seeking a more just society, the Holy Father said, "Let me to draw your attention to the value and beauty of marriage. The differences...

... [Ann Coulter] was riding high, perhaps the most famous polemicist of her day, the scourge of liberals everywhere and the fantasy of young conservative men's dreams. And then suddenly, she was nowhere. After having been relegated to a "debate" with her friend Mickey Kaus the year before, she was excluded from CPAC in 2015 where she'd been featured for 17 years. It seems that conservative organizations have been trying to have her dropped for a while but friends in high places had intervened. But the planners had had enough. She was very bitter about it, telling the Washington Examiner,...

1-2-3-4-5. Five leftist lawyers, currently abusing their authority as Supreme Court Justices, unleashed their activism upon the U.S. Constitution Friday and created a non-existent right to same-sex marriage. The Fourteenth Amendment may provide equal protection under the law, but by applying it to expand the definition of marriage the Court has created a constitutional crisis in America. The First and Tenth Amendments, which respectively promise freedom of individual religion and award jurisdiction to the States of all powers not enumerated in the Constitution, have now been placed in direct conflict with the Fourteenth Amendment. “Love Wins”? Not here it doesn’t,...

Barack Obama has reached the stage of his presidency where if he wants to break out in song publicly, as he did with “Amazing Grace” in a eulogy on Friday, then he’s going to do it. With a year-and-a-half left in office, Obama is shedding some of his trademark “no drama” style for a looser approach, admitting that he feels more fearless and liberated. It may also be in recognition that he has few big-ticket policy achievements left to enjoy in polarized Washington as the end of his two-term presidency approaches. In a remarkable week for the president, a victory...

Come on. How many will truly be surprised to see the American Civil Liberties Union backpedal away from an enumerated civil right in the Constitution, now that the cognoscenti considers it a form of bigotry? I feel so old. I remember when the ACLU was a civil liberties organization. http://t.co/oe1EiYAXja— James Taranto (@jamestaranto) June 27, 2015 @Popehat @Lorienen @ACLU well now that Christians use it the ACLU can't support it— Clarence Whorley (@ClarenceWhorley) June 27, 2015 The organization that once went to court to ensure that the American Nazi Party could parade through Skokie, Illinois in an exercise of free...

San Francisco will close borders to talented and artistic teens looking for a free and prestigious arts education at the city’s Ruth Asawa School of the Arts, a decision derided by many students, parents and teachers, yet unanimously approved by the school board Tuesday. The decision ends the long-standing practice of allowing transfer students from other school districts to audition and gain admission to the high school, considered among the region’s most elite public art schools. The new policy will apply to admission for fall 2016. Current out-of-town students would be allowed to complete high school there, as well as...

Earlier today D.C. Whispers shared the stunning proof of slain Senator Clementa Pinckney’s actual vote to SUPPORT the placement of the Confederate flag on the South Carolina statehouse grounds. Now more proof is available of Senator Pinckney’s recent opposition to gay marriage. This evidence has once again been willfully ignored by the Mainstream Media, the Obama administration, and gay rights activists across the nation who are now falsely placing the slain pastor as one of their own. Here is evidence of Senator Pinckney’s vote outlining that legal marriage in South Carolina only be between one man and one woman: READ...

What she’s saying is that the First Amendment means that you can believe in your heart and mind what you want, but you can’t act on it without federal permission, as far as religion goes. As to her point about a religious objection to providing medical care, Christianity doesn’t allow for letting gays die by refusing them medical care, so that’s a red herring. Big difference between refusing to participate in a wedding and depraved heart manslaughter by refusing to save a life. “Certainly the first amendment says that in institutions of faith that there is absolute power to, you...

Cue the backlash!Following this morning's history-making Supreme Court Decision on marriage equality, Vikings cornerback Josh Robinson took to Twitter to condemn gay marriage in a series of homophobic tweets. He event compared marriage equality to incest and pedophilia."Love is love? So what will we say when the 30yr old loves YOUR 10 year old. When the dad loves HIS 6 year old? It's different? Yea okay!" the 24-year-old football star wrote Friday. "The day one person makes that stand, some may support, but many will say that's sick! That day I will say ‘hypocrites.'""When did we start defining a word...

The Missouri General Assembly ended its 2015 legislative session about a month ago. This is the state body designed to represent people in towns like Ferguson, which recently convulsed with conflict — protests, rioting — over the shooting of an unarmed (but, we found out, quite aggressive) young black man by a white policeman. So what did the state politicians do about the situation? Well, the assembly adjourned “having passed,” The Washington Post reported, “virtually none of the changes activists sought in the aftermath of the shooting of Michael Brown.” “Nothing has changed,” acknowledged State Rep. Clem Smith. The Post...

Fresh off a victory lap in the Rose Garden where the #LOVEWINS president narcissistically defined agreeing with him as “love,” President Obama segued from LGBTQ rights into racial rancor and Biblical misrepresentation during a eulogy where he also defined “God’s grace” as agreeing with him. Taking to the pulpit at slain Charleston Emanuel A.M.E. Church’s pastor and state Senator Clementa Pinckney’s going-home celebration, Barack ‘Can you say Amen’ Obama assumed a black-preacher cadence and began the eulogy by “Giving all praise and honor to [a] God” whose Word the president normally revises with as much liberality as he does the...

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton on Friday praised the Supreme Court's ruling declaring same-sex couples have a right to marry and suggested that her Republican opponents were being left behind by history. In one of her most partisan speeches since announcing her presidential campaign, Clinton criticized the field of more than a dozen Republican candidates for opposing gay marriage, gun control, immigration reform and women's reproductive rights. "We can sum up the message from the court and the American people in just two words: Move on," she said in a fiery speech to Democratic activists gathered in Northern Virginia...

FULL TITLE - The Coming Muslim Conquest of Italy: Will We Have to Ransom the Treasures of the Vatican from ISIS-Type Vandals? The news about illegal immigration into Italy and Southern Europe is stunning. Here are some illustrative headlines from recent news accounts: “Welcome to Italy: this is what a real immigration crisis looks like,” declares the British Spectator magazine, which adds that Italy is being “invaded.” And here’s another scary story: “How the migration crisis is shaking Europe at its core.” After all, it’s only 100 miles or so from Tunisia, in Africa, to the Italian island of Sicily—an easy...

~~Well-intended forgiveness has been seized on by the media and those in power as an excuse to ignore white supremacy~~ Unfortunately, forgiveness, that element of moral sanctity which facilitates assuaging of grief, has morphed into a barrier obstructing the path to justice and accountability in the United States — a place weakened by the ubiquitousness and insidiousness of racism. Although it’s tough to direct a critical lens at the concept of forgiveness when the situation involves grieving family members tearfully addressing an expressionless, depraved killer who isn’t even asking for it, for posterity’s sake this must be done. What happened...
