The Washington Times reported June 24 that dozens of U.S. citizen may be targets for assassination by the Obama administration. “There are, in my mind, dozens of U.S. persons who are in different parts of the world, and they are very concerning to us," John O. Brennan, Deputy White House National Security Adviser for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, told the Washington Times June 24. “If a person is a U.S. citizen, and he is on the battlefield in Afghanistan or Iraq trying to attack our troops, he will face the full brunt of the U.S. military response," Brennan said, adding:...

Now that Clinton is involved in the Sestak scandal, I thought this would be a good time to post your "wag the dog" scenarios that Bam may use to divert attention away from what could be his downfall.Clinton used the military to bomb an asprin factory, when he was embroiled in the Monica Lewinsky scandal. The BP gusher won't help Bam, because that's old news at this point. He may use the military, but, that may be to obvious. If you got a scenario that may be likely, post it here!

tourism leaders and hoteliers fear they could lose a sizable chunk of business this summer from valued “Zonies” who are so angered by elected leaders’ recent censure of Arizona for its illegal-immigration law that they’re mounting an informal boycott of their own. The San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau and several hotels report receiving e-mails and letters from Arizona visitors saying they intend to change their plans to travel here in light of local outcry over their home state’s anti-illegal-immigration stance. Tourism officials are striking back. In an open letter, they urge Arizona residents to overlook local politics and come...

Note: An anonymous caller, claiming to know the details of the theft of the Mojave Cross, called the Desert Dispatch Tuesday afternoon, saying he was not directly responsible for the cross’s theft, but knew who was. While the claims could not be verified, the caller, who identifies himself as a veteran, seems likely connected to the theft. Below are key points of a written explanation provided by the caller. • The cross has been carefully preserved. • A small non-sectarian monument was brought to place at the site but technical difficulties prevented this from happening at the time the cross...

The 76-year-old Mojave Cross war memorial in San Bernardino County's High Desert has been torn down by vandals, just days after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the religious symbol could remain -- at least temporarily -- on public land. Sometime Sunday night, the cross was taken down from its perch atop Sunrise Rock in the Mojave National Preserve, according to Liberty Institute, a group that represented veterans groups and caretakers of the cross in the recent Supreme Court Case. "This is an outrage, akin to desecrating people's graves," said institute president Kelly Shackelford. "It's a disgraceful attack on the...

A full transcript follows below. Della Burning, mother of Jindal staffer Allee Bautsch, confirmed that her daughter had been savagely beaten. She refused to discuss whether or not politics were involved (although at one point in the interview she did say the report was “accurate” when New Orleans Police Information Officer said slurs hurled at her daughter during the attack were “political in nature”). Burning confirmed her daughter's leg is broken in four...

Top Obama funder, terrorist supporter and Code Pink co-founder Jodie Evans said in a radio interview last Friday night that Rep. Police are trying to find out who threw a flammable device at the home of Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer's (R) chief spokesman. 2009 will probably go down as the Year of Stupid. Everywhere you look you see birthers, deathers, deniers, tea fetishists, and semi-literate amateur pundits screaming and frothing over their unsupported, repeatedly debunked line of argument. They are wrong. Dead wrong. Distractingly, even dangerously wrong. And since they will not, or more likely cannot, understand this fact they go on screaming and frothing in a fruitless quest for validation. They'll disrupt town hall meetings, Congressional addresses, and children's birthday parties to remind you, just in case you allowed yourself to forget for even a moment, of just how painfully stupid they...
