The year 1973 was full of change and entirely groovy. The U.S. pulled out of Vietnam, Roe v. Wade shook up the courts, and gas lines stretched for blocks as the oil crisis took hold. On the flip side, bell-bottoms were in full swing, Pink Floyd dropped “The Dark Side of the Moon,” and a little horse named Secretariat ran straight into the history books. These 1973 photos represent how electric the year was.

From the Beatles touching down in America and sending fans into a frenzy, to underdog Cassius Clay (soon to be known as Muhammad Ali) shocking the world by defeating Sonny Liston, 1964 was undeniably electric. It was the year that saw a huge win in the fight for equality as President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act into law, while a little show called “Jeopardy!” made its debut on TV. Everywhere you looked, history was being made — and these photos capture it all.

A real estate agent has revealed how she's amassed a $10,000 vintage clothes collection - because she's obsessed with living like she's in the 1940s. Gwendolyn Erin Patterson, 25, from Dallas, Texas, says she's so fixated with wearing wartime fashion that she now refuses to leave her house unless she's sporting glamorous attire from the Second World War era.

This is a link to an archive.org page with a working emulator based on DosBox that will run in your browser just by clicking on the "Emulate it!" picture at the top of the page. It takes a minute or two to load everything up and then the screen goes blank for a little bit when you make your selection. Hit the speaker icon and then the full screen button and you will be transported back to computing in 1992. This has worked in every browser that I have tried it in including Brave, Chrome, and Edge, but your mileage...

My how times have changed in our households. Modern appliances and other inventions have afforded us conveniences that our predecessors didn’t have. Don’t you sometimes wonder what things were like a century or two ago? Explore the past by looking at these vintage wares and try to figure out what they were used for. Some of these objects were more common during certain historical periods, or in particular parts of the world. Though they all share the same status of being antiques, you may find one or two of these items still in use.

Although victory rolls and ankle length skirts may seem a little dated to many women in their twenties, for one it is a way of life. Holly Foster, 22, prides herself on her lady-like attire, adopting the style of women in 1950s, which has recently seen her crowned Miss Vintage UK. However, her floral prints and pearls are more than just a style statement as Holly says dressing this way - and 'not like Miley Cyrus' - is the only way to demand real respect from men.

People generally buy a Chevrolet Corvette planning to drive the wheels off it, but examples with absurdly low mileage have to come from somewhere. Cars suffer a small breakdown and are parked for years, owners suddenly pass away and their children don't know what to do with the cars, vehicles get donated to museums... the list of usual suspects for something like this is pretty limited. But the story of this unrestored and completely original 1967 Chevrolet Corvette with just 2,996 miles on the clock is a new one for us. Here's what we know: Don McNamara turned 30 in...
