A black family living in Los Angeles was horrified to discover their Ford Mustang defaced with a vile racial slur and swastikas over the holidays. Reginald Scott, who has lived in the San Pedro neighborhood for 20 years, told the station KTLA that his sports car was allegedly vandalized sometime between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The unidentified alleged hatemonger used black spray paint to scrawl the words “Merry Christmas -----” in huge letters across the right side of the red Mustang. Swastikas were painted on the car’s bumper and its tires were also slashed.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will be visiting the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley on Sunday, but he has not received the warmest welcome by at least one vandal. According to the Simi Valley Police Department, library employees spotted graffiti on one of the library’s entrance signs around 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning, hours before DeSantis was scheduled to appear to promote his new book. Library staff were able to clean up the graffiti before the Florida governor’s high-profile visit.

Vandals broke into Rep. Debbie Dingell’s Michigan office, and trashed some items belonging to her deceased husband, the congresswoman said on Monday. Dingell, a Democrat who made headlines for a shouting match with Republican Rep. A memorial placed in Riverside to honor the 13 American service members who were killed in a suicide bombing at the Kabul airport as the U.S. exited Afghanistan late last month was found vandalized on Labor Day, police said Tuesday. Damage to the Ring of Brodgar includes graffiti that has been engraved into one of the stones at the Neolithic site near Stenness. It is believed to have been caused sometime between Friday afternoon and Sunday morning. The ring originally comprised 60 stones, of which 36 survive. The Grand Rapids Police Department is searching for two vandals who defaced the gravesites of President Gerald R. Ford and First Lady Betty Ford at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum. Cops released photos of the March 27 incident that shows a man and woman sitting on a wall that’s part of the memorial site. The man appears to be carving or writing something on the panels that read “Lives Committed to God, Country and Love.” Surveillance video of the incident obtained by CBS affiliate WWMT also shows the woman kick a skateboard into the memorial wall.

A plaque in Audubon Park honoring the Buffalo Soldiers was vandalized Wednesday morning (May 2), the day after a Mid-City statue commemorating Charles Didier Dreux, who was the first Confederate field officer killed in the Civil War, was defaced. A billboard near Interstate 15 and Spring Mountain Road in Las Vegas was found vandalized early Thursday morning. The billboard is for Battlefield Vegas, a shooting range in Las Vegas. The sign was changed from “Shoot a .50 Caliber Only $29” to “Shoot a School Kid Only $29.” Over the phone number for Battlefield Vegas was pasted “Defend Lives Reform Laws.” A video posted on YouTube shows two people making the changes on the sign during the night.
