Virginia state lawmakers moved a bill forward Thursday to slash taxpayer funding from abortion groups and redirect the money to comprehensive health care providers. The Virginia Capital News Service reports Virginia House Bill 1090 passed out of a state Senate committee in narrow 8-7 vote Thursday. The state House passed the bill in February, LifeNews reported.
