A reunion for crewmembers from the USS Columbia, a light cruiser that patrolled the Pacific during World War II, will be held Sept. 30 through Oct. 2. The reunion, returning to Columbia for the first time since 1986, is expected to draw several dozen of the ship’s surviving 350 crewmen, said event chairman John Thoresz.
