    The last upgraded block 40 F-16 (#89-2039) was handed over by Hellenic Aerospace Industry (HAI) to the United Start Air Force at Tanagra, Greece on December 15. HAI upgraded the electronic and structural modification (STAR/CCIP) as part of a program started in 2007 for 94 F-16 block 40 and block 50 aircraft for the United States Air Force in Europe (USAFE). The ceremony marked the completion of the work on the block 40s and by December of 2013 work on the block 50s will also be completed.

    On a recent training exercise U.S. Air Force Europe (USAFE) C-130J Hercules tactical transport aircraft and their crews deployed to the Israel Air Force Base at Nevatim, in the Northern Negev desert in southern Israel, for a period of 10 days. According to USAFE, news release, the units, belonging to Ramstein, Germany based 37th Airlift Squadron participated in the exercise Dec. 1 through 10 to accomplish various training requirements for the C-130J Super Hercules which are not allowed in Germany because of country regulations.

Lindis Percy, co-coordinator for the group Campaign for the Accountability of American Bases, has filed a £1,000 claim against Senior Airman Frank McDonald, whom she alleges caused superficial cuts, swelling and pain to wrists from handcuffs being too tight and other injuries when he detained her at Croughton in February 2006.
