The shootings at military facilities in Chattanooga, Tenn., constitute an act of war by radical Islamists, Sen. Ted Cruz said Friday. The Texas senator and Republican presidential candidate linked the killings to a broader extremist campaign against the United States. “Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez was there to carry out jihad, an act of radical Islamic terrorism,” he said in a statement.“An act of war, in which those four brave Marines lost their lives, while at least two others were wounded.”Four Marines died when Abdulazeez opened fire on Thursday morning at two military facilities in Chattanooga. Abdulazeez, who was a naturalized citizen from...

Just hours after four U.S. Marines were shot and killed by Islamic terrorist Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez in Chattanooga Thursday, the White House announced President Obama has plans to go see Hamilton on Broadway over the weekend. More from The Hill: The White House has not released further details about the trip, but the New York Post reports he plans to attend a matinee showing of the Broadway show “Hamilton” on Saturday before returning to Washington. Obama will also attend a DNC fundraiser tonight, which is typical behavior after major national tragedies. Less than 24-hours after the 9/11 Benghazi attacks, he jetted...

Via the Free Beacon, the search for motives goes on for a media that hasn’t yet nailed down whether “Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez†is a Muslim name. Andrew Stiles’s alternate headline for this one is better than mine, frankly: “Andrea Mitchell: Is there a chance the Muslim extremist Tennessee gunman was also a redneck?†Nope, no chance, as it turns out. Which is surprising. I bet there were some sweet deer-hunting opportunities during that mysterious months-long trip to Jordan that Abdulazeez took last year before he started writing cryptic blog posts about breaking free of one’s earthly prison and entering...

Two fathers, a 21-year-old barely out of boot camp and a Purple Heart recipient who served two tours of duty in Iraq have been identified as the four Marines savagely murdered in Thursday’s terror attack in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Gunnery Sgt Thomas J Sullivan, 40; Lance Cpl Skip Wells, 21; Sgt Carson Holmquist, 27 and Staff Sgt David Wyatt, 37 were training at a Navy reserve center just after 11am on Thursday when gunman Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, 24, a naturalised U.S. citizen, pulled up in a rented silver convertible and started shooting at the group through a fence in the second...

A once devoted, disciplined mixed martial arts fighter. A top student known for smarts, charm and humor. A devout Muslim, who kept in touch with his roots in the Middle East. That's how a former coach and classmates describe Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez, 24, who killed four U.S. Marines and wounded three more people Thursday in Chattanooga. Police killed Abdulazeez. People who knew him were stunned to hear he was the man who sprayed a military recruiting center at a strip mall with bullets, then drove 7 miles to assault a Navy Operational Support Center.

Ted Cruz on Friday called for congressional hearings toward allowing members of the armed services to carry guns in military facilities, in the wake of the shooting at a military recruitment center in Chattanooga, Tenn., and said the shooting illustrated the need to fix the immigration laws. On Thursday, four Marines were killed and three other people were injured when Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez opened fire on two military facilities in Chattanooga. In a statement, Cruz called Abdulazeez’s actions “an act of war,” and said he “was there to carry out jihad, an act of radical Islamic terrorism.” “While we might...

Ladies and gentlemen, the modern military where our best weapons is tolerance, our strength is diversity and gun control is the answer to fighting terrorists. The Tennessean reports that Abdulazeez pulled in front of a recruiting location, shared by various military branches, and shot holes through the “doors and glass… [of] the… Air Force, Navy and Marine offices.” He allegedly did this while sitting in his car. Ironically, one of the earliest post-attack photos of the recruiting center shows shattered glass and bullet holes by the very sign that designated the office a gun free zone. But don't get...

Counterterrorism investigators are trying to figure out why a 24-year-old Kuwait-born man who seemingly had a typical suburban American upbringing attacked two U.S. military sites in a shooting rampage that left four Marines dead. Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez of Hixson, Tennessee, did not appear to have been on the radar of federal authorities before the bloodshed Thursday, officials said, and they were still searching for a motive. Abdulazeez was killed by police. Federal authorities were looking into the possibility it was an act of terrorism but said there was no evidence yet that anyone else was involved. The tragedy of Thursday's attacks on two military facilities in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is simply too much to take. It's one thing to know that the Obama administration has proposed shrinking the size of our active duty military, and has negotiated deals that inure to the financial benefit of nations who hate us. It's another thing to watch our loyal servicemen and women having to work on military bases with no ability to protect themselves. This is the last straw. In the early 1990s bureaucrats in Washington, D.C., began what has been an extended and renewed ban on military personnel...

He grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts, survived two tours of duty in Iraq, and earned a Purple Heart. But, according to his family, he died in a domestic terrorist attack on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at the hands of a madman in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who shot up a military base, killing four Marines and wounding three others. His name is Thomas J. Sullivan, 40, a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, one of three kids of Jerry and Betty Sullivan. He grew up in the East Forest Park section of Springfield, graduated Cathedral High School and went on to serve...

In Islamic theology, jihad for the sake of Allah refers specifically to the form of jihad that involves taking up arms. “REVEALED! READ the FULL DISTURBING BLOG POSTS of Muslim Jihadi Terrorist Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez,” The Right Scoop, July 17, 2015: "…As Muslims, we often do this. We have a certain understanding of Islam and keep a tunnel vision of what we think Islam is. What we know is Islam and everything else is not. And we don’t have appreciation for other points of view and accept the fact that we may be missing some important parts of the religion."

SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – A Tennessee Highway Patrol spokesperson confirmed Friday morning that troopers were part of a multiple vehicle escort Friday carrying the bodies of Marines killed in Thursday’s shooting in Chattanooga. Four U.S. Marines, barred from carrying weapons at naval training facilities despite explicit ISIS threats against our military, are dead in Tennessee. Another service member and a Chattanooga police officer survived gunshots after Thursday’s two-stage massacre at the hands of 24-year-old jihadist Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez. Navy Secretary Ray Mabus called the terrorist’s spree “insidious and unfathomable.” resident Obama bemoaned the “heartbreaking circumstance” in which the murdered Marines found themselves. “Unfathomable?” Not if you’ve been paying attention. Islam-inspired hate crimes against our troops have continued unabated since the Obama White House first dismissed the 2009 Fort Hood massacre as “workplace violence.”...

As neighbors and friends tried to understand why a lone gunman launched two brazen attacks on military sites that left four Marines dead, investigators searched for terrorist ties but so far had found none, authorities said. Knoxville FBI Special Agent in Charge Ed Reinhold told a late-night news conference that authorities had no leads linking the gunman to international terrorist organizations. “There is no indication at this point that anyone else was involved,” he said late Thursday.

Muslim groups say a judge's decision to release from federal custody a Signal Mountain man accused in court records of planning an attack on a mosque in New York state represents a double standard and should be revisited.... ...Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said Doggart poses a threat to Muslims and shouldn't have been released. Other groups have echoed those sentiments. "I think this case has been mishandled and it hasn't been treated with the seriousness it deserves," Hooper said. ""Unfortunately, this fits a pattern of cases in which no Muslim is involved and it is...

We have rarely seen anything as disgraceful as this. There are just five days to go before the July 21 deadline to file for a re-hearing before the US Supreme Court on its recent 5-4 “same-sex marriage” ruling. But chances are bleak that this crucial filing will be done. The cave-in by the GOP has spread to major pro-family organizations. As we described in our report last week, the US Supreme Court "same-sex marriage” fight is not completely over. According to the Court’s published rules, within 25 days of a ruling, a party can ask the Court for a “rehearing”...
