As we all know, Democrats and the Swamp hate Donald Trump. They probably hate him more than any president ever. Those elites, including celebrities, journalists, and politicians, used to love Trump, with thousands of them smiling and taking pictures of him over the years. But not anymore.
All of that changed in 2015 when he decided to run for president. It wasn't that he was running for president that made him enemy number one, but rather because he was running for president as a Republican.
But of course, being a Republican wasn’t always the polarizing factor that it became in 2015 and beyond. Sure, the media disliked Bush, McCain, and Romney, but they were OK because they were all within the acceptable limits of what could be tolerated and controlled. Trump was and is something altogether different.
To understand why he was and is different, look at the people at the heart of the Swamp, the government.
Nancy Pelosi, is 84 years old with 47 years in politics & government, a Political Science major with no experience in the private sector.
Chuck Schumer, 74 years old, 49 years in government, a lawyer with no private sector experience.
Hakeem Jeffries, 54 years old, 17 years in govt. A lawyer with no private sector experience.
Joe Biden, 82 years old, 50 years in government, a lawyer with zero private sector experience.
Bernie Sanders, 83 years old, 53 of which were in politics and government, a Political Science major who held a smattering of odd jobs prior to joining government.
Adam Schiff, a 64 year old lawyer who’s spent 38 years in government with zero private sector experience.
Pete Buttigieg, 42 years old, 12 years in government, a Political Science major who spent 3 years working for consulting giant McKinsey & Co. mostly working with NGOs and corporations. He was in the Navy and did a stint in Afghanistan.
AOC is a 35 year old Econ and International Relations major who’s spent 8 years in government and whose private sector experience is that of a bartender.
Gavin Newsom, a 57 year old Political Science major who’s spent 27 years in government and who in 1992 was brought in by his friend, Gordon Getty, as the co-founder of PlumpJack Winery in Napa, California.
Elizabeth Warren, a 75 year old lawyer who’s spent 30 years in government and has zero private sector experience.
And it’s not just Democrats…
Mitch McConnell is an 82 year old lawyer who’s spent 50 years in government and never held a private sector job.
Kevin McCarthy is a 59 year old MBA who worked in government for 37 years and sold sandwiches out of his uncle’s yogurt shop while in college.
Paul Ryan is a 54 year old Political Science and Economics graduate who spent 28 years in government before retiring to become a lobbyist in 2019. He was a waiter and fitness trainer in college.
So there you have it, of the dozen or so most powerful people in American government & politics, only one has any real experience in running a business (Newsom) and that business was funded by one of the richest men in the world at the time. But somehow they’re the ones making the laws that increasingly impact the businesses that employ every American, and indeed the lives and communities of every single American.

I dont think they fear him. They hate him.
Hate is the result of fear.
Gavin Newsom is the only one with most experience in the private sector and that’s due to his very generous backer.
President Trump interrupted the March To Pack The Federal Courts With Grinning Lefty Kangaroos.
Insider trading is why they are rich. They are never prosecuted for this, never! Nancy Pelosi has done this for years. However, it is a practice of both Dems and Repubs.
And the reason they hate Donald is that they can’t control him.
bttt
People who regularly wipe their ass with the law have no reason to fear anyone.
And therein lies the problem.
Permanent Beltway isn’t going anywhere.
They get pensions.
All these corrupt lawyers turned professional politicians and those drooling in cups keep electing them....Over and over...
One of the biggest mysteries from my point of view, is watching those in the private sector continue to vote for people that can't relate to anyone in the private sector.
I find it quite bizarre.
"The Swamp fears Donald Trump, With Good Reason"
FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument
As a side note to this thread, please consider the following.
It needs to be emphasized that one of the very few powers that the states have actually expressly constitutionally given to the peacetime federal government to dictate domestic policy is to run the US Mail Service.
"Article I, Section 8, Clause 7: To establish Post Offices and post Roads;"
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]." —United States v. Butler, 1936.
In other words, most federal domestic policy is now based on state powers, and uniquely associated state revenues, that the elite Democrats mentioned in the OP, and their colleagues including RINOs steal from the states. State revenues (citizens' wallets) are stolen by the feds by means of unconstitutional federal taxes facilitated by corrupt, post-17th amendment ratification Congress's abuse of its 16th Amendment powers (direct taxes), taxes that tax-hungry Democrats and RINOs cannot reasonably justify under Congress's constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.
"16th Amendment : The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived [emphasis added], without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."
(Again) "Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
“If the tax be not proposed for the common defence, or general welfare, but for other objects, wholly extraneous, (as for instance, for propagating Mahometanism among the Turks, or giving aids and subsidies to a foreign nation, to build palaces for its kings, or erect monuments to its heroes,) it would be wholly indefensible upon constitutional principles [emphases added].” — Justice Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution 2 (1833).
The congressional record shows that Rep. John Bingham, a constitutional lawmaker, had clarified the federal government's constitutionally limited powers as follows.
”Simply this, that the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Constitution, is in the States and not in the federal government [emphases added]. I have sought to effect no change in that respect in the Constitution of the country.” —John Bingham, Congressional. Globe. 1866, page 1292 (see top half of third column)
“Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors, shall all become wolves [emphasis added]. It seems to be the law of our general nature.” - Thomas Jefferson (Letter to Edward Carrington January 16, 1787)
Pelosi: "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it." (non-FR; 6 sec.)
Democrats [and RINOs] Are Terrified Of An Educated And Informed Public (3.12.23)
Let me put it this way. Given their limited peacetime constitutional duties, the Democrats in the OP and their colleagues should actually have lots of time to help the US Mail Service deliver the mail every morning, and then spend the rest of the day on golf courses like Obama did, the golf course symbolic of the constitutionally limited powers of the federal government.
In fact, after hopeful Trump 47 quickly finishes draining the swamp with the support of the new Constitution-respecting Congress that his Democratic and Republican supporters give him in November, then Trump can break Obama's record for spending time golf course in the remainder of his second term. Seriously.

but did they ?
be interesting to see when electronic voting systems became common and when our country's leaders morphed into shatbirds.
He also has no obligations to lobbyists and does not need to make money out of government.
