<p>The commanding officer of the Japan-based frigate Gary was relieved of command Dec. 12, according to 7th Fleet. Cmdr. Tito Dua, who assumed command of the frigate in July 2002, was relieved by Capt. Samuel Perez, commander of Destroyer Squadron 15, for a “loss of confidence” in Dua’s ability to command.</p>
