Police in Scranton said they are still investigating the machete attack at the Hotel Jermyn apartments on Tuesday night. Former state Attorney General Kathleen Kane was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated following a two-vehicle crash in Scranton, said Scranton Police Superintendent Thomas Carroll. Kane, 55, of Scranton, was taken into custody, processed and released on general impairment driving under the influence, Carroll said. Formal charges will be filed with the court.
