One of the biggest NASCAR sponsors lobbied to have the event moved. Camping World Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis wrote in a letter dated for Tuesday that neither he nor anyone from Camping World would participate in an event at any Trump property "due to recent and ongoing blatantly bigoted and racist comments from Donald Trump in regards to immigrants of the United States." Trump has made several comments about immigrants while on the campaign trail. "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best," Trump said when announcing his candidacy for the Republican nomination last month. "They're sending...
  • Camping World CEO Backs Down After Telling Trump Supporters to Shop Elsewhere

    08/26/2017 4:40:22 AM PDT · by TigerClaws · 167 replies
From the “you just had to know THIS was coming” department, the CEO of the recreational vehicle and equipment chain Camping World is already backing down from statements that he made suggesting that some supporters of President Trump should shop elsewhere. The remarks of Marcus Lemonis have come back to bite him in the ass big time as he seems to be finding out just how many millions of dollars that his loose tongue and arrogance could cost him if Trump supporters took his advice and spent their hard-earned dollars at businesses owned by competitors. Now he is claiming that...

...This was about as juicy a story as ever told on “The Profit” and it ended with Marcus walking away from an investment for the first time in this new season. He spent about $100,000 for capital improvements and upgrades to the systems at The Soup Market, but left without regret. His deal with Dave Jurena, the surviving owner was to invest $350,000, take 50% of the company and be 100% in charge, as we knew he would. They shook on it, but trouble and confusion began immediately. The episode should have been called “Who Is Grace and Why Isn’t...
  • Did Anybody Else Watch Those DEVILS at 240Sweet on The Profit?

Anybody else out there see the latest episode of "The Profit?" Tonight's business was 240Sweet a gourmet marshmallow company and both owners were slime but owner Sam in particular was a complete MONSTER. Easily the WORST person ever on "The Profit" and possibly the WORST real life person even in the history of TV. At the end it was like her inner devil came out. It was the one show that needed an exorcist even more than Marcus Lemonis.

Tonight on The Profit Marcus Lemonis is in Denver, Colorado with hopes of making a deal with KOTA Longboards. KOTA Longboards is a skateboard company owned by former US Navy pilot Mike Maloney that specializes in handcrafted high quality longboards. The problems the company faces include a high employee turnover rate and a limited production line. Also, Marcus brings in skateboarding legend and entrepreneur Rob Dyrdek to offer some advice on this episode.
