Is Mika Brzezinski predicting that President Trump won't serve out his term? Sounds like it, judging by her observation on today's Morning Joe. "If you are losing Republicans every step of the way because you've proved to be not trustworthy, and you've failed them miserably on health care . . . [and] undermining someone who's been incredibly loyal to you . . . isn't he playing the person who ends up getting fired on The Apprentice, instead of being the person who says "you're fired?" Just when the Trump brand was teetering on the edge of no longer being the gold standard, along came TV producer, Mark Burnett. Burnett was the creator and chief architect of Survivor, the biggest of the TV reality shows that attracted viewers by the millions to watch beautiful people compete in exotic spots such as the Australian outback and the Polynesian islands. But Burnett's fabulous success couldn't mask one bit of unhappiness at the center of his life: he had little kids at home in New York and he was hardly ever there. "There has to be a way...

Omarosa Manigault, a first-season contestant on “The Apprentice,” has officially joined the Trump transition team, it was announced Thursday. Manigault has been placed on the transition executive committee, joining the likes of Jared Kushner, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, Ivanka Trump, Peter Thiel and a host of other loyalists. During the lengthy presidential campaign, Omarosa, who is usually introduced by her first name, was a forceful and effective surrogate, often appearing on TV to cheer on and defend Trump. She was spotted by reporters at Trump Tower this week, so her appointment is hardly surprising. Her precise responsibilities are not...

Lies, and more lies! Clinton must be scared out of her mind that she is losing. NEW YORK — In his years as a reality TV boss on "The Apprentice," Donald Trump repeatedly demeaned women with sexist language, according to show insiders who said he rated female contestants by the size of their breasts and talked about which ones he'd like to have sex with.

Conor Friedersdorf of The Atlantic magazine can hardly contain his excitement. He believes he has found the key, THE KEY, to finally bringing down the candidacy of Donald Trump. According to Friedersdorf, if voters spend the time to watch thousands of hours of raw unedited footage of The Apprentice, it will make them realize that (GASP!) reality TV not quite real and that much of it has been left on the editing room floor thus causing them to turn against Trump. If you can read his reality TV exposure premise without bursting out laughing starting with the title, The People Behind...

[The Apprentice].... in 2004.... Boise’s Troy McClain was the darling of the country. That didn’t stop when Trump uttered the famous “You’re fired” words. Trump said, ... it was one of the most difficult firings of his career. But, being fired by the man who became his mentor and philanthropic inspiration wouldn’t stop the meteoric rise for McClain. "Trump would talk about being a job creator,” ... “He would say ‘Troy you need to be a job creator.' And I'd say; 'Naw, I'm a speaker, ... And he'd say ‘You are a solo-preneur... a job creator!' " McClain formed Troy...

The name of President Obama came into play this afternoon at the political corruption trial of former governor Rod Blagojevich as an associate of political fund-raiser Tony Rezko testified that Rezko asked him to write a $10,000 check to Friends of Obama. The Chicago Sun-Times reported in January 2008 that Glenview businessman Joseph Aramanda, who is testifying today, made the donation as part of a scheme orchestrated by Rezko. Aramanda gave $10,000 in campaign cash to Obama’s U.S. Senate campaign on March 5, 2004, according to records. The money came from part of a finder’s fee Aramanda received, but did...

After only two of the GOP presidential contenders agreed to participate, business mogul Donald Trump is considering canceling the debate he planned to moderate. Reasons given by the no-show candidates range from the polite (Texas Governor Rick Perry cited scheduling conflicts) to the insulting (former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman called the event "show business over substance"). But regardless of why the event seems to have fizzled, there's a project that could make better use of Mr. Trump's time and talents. Call it The Political Apprentice.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Guns, abortion and Donald Trump: Three topics so controversial that Groupon doesn't want its brand anywhere near them. The daily-deals website said late Thursday that it will pull its ads from the website of Donald Trump's television show "The Apprentice" to distance itself from the "political criticism" swirling around Trump and his presidential ambitions. "Enough consumers have contacted us to warrant ensuring that we don't place ads on the 'Apprentice' homepage in the future," the company said in a post on its blog. "It's the same reason we don't run deals on guns or abortion ......

If you wonder whether Donald Trump is serious about running for president, tune in to the finale of “The Celebrity Apprentice” on May 15. Trump plans to say on the NBC show that he will be holding a press conference in the next few days. At that press conference in the Trump Tower in New York, Trump will be announcing his candidacy for the presidency. Even then, many will snicker that it’s all a publicity stunt. But that defies the facts and common sense. Of all the people on the planet, Donald Trump is the last person who needs more...

Rosie O'Donnell says Donald Trump is a man obsessed. "It's the way I look. He can't resist. I love when people say you're fat like you don't know," O'Donnell joked Monday on ABC's "The View.""... It's always the first comment of someone who disagrees with you if you happen to be on the plus side." Trump has been hurling insults at O'Donnell since she criticized his news conference with Miss USA Tara Conner last month. Trump announced that Conner would be allowed to keep her title, which had been in jeopardy because of underage drinking. "Boy, did I hit a...

Yale Law School professor Vicki Schultz will headline Thomas Jefferson School of Law's sixth annual Women and Law Conference Feb. 10. As this year's Ruth Bader Ginsburg lecturer, Schultz will give the keynote speech, focusing her remarks on the conference's theme, "Sexuality at Work." The event will be held from 3 to 6:30 p.m. in Room 200 of the school's Courtyard Building. "We always select a lecturer who is extremely well known and a person who is at the cutting edge of women's legal issues," said conference co-founder and organizer Susan Bisom-Rapp. "(Shultz's) work in sexual harassment law is quite...

Just seconds after being named this season's Apprentice, Randal Pinkett made his first executive decision -- he instructed Donald Trump not to hire his competitor Rebecca Jarvis. "I think there should be only one apprentice," he said when Trump asked if Jarvis should also be hired. "I think that's the way it should be." While it was obvious The Donald had planned on offering jobs to both candidates, Trump did not hesitate in granting Pinkett's wish and making him the sole Apprentice. For Jarvis this was a huge slap in the face. Not only did the 23-year-old outshine Pinkett during...

Will 'The Apprentice' Be a Black and White Issue? Business mogul Donald Trump says 'he wasn't particularly happy' with the most recent season of his hit reality show, (featuring 'book smarts' vs. street smarts') and is considering controversial changes bound to generate buzz for upcoming episodes.Among the proposals: piting a team of African-American contestants against a team of all white players.'Whether people like that or not, it would be somewhat reflective of our world,' according to Trump. 'But needless to say, not everyone thinks it is a good idea.'Trump wasn't available for further comment, but a representative told the Scoop...

By Paul J. GoughThu Jun 23, 3:12 AM ET There won't be any "You're fired" death knells sounded when Martha Stewart takes the reins of "The Apprentice" this fall. The domestic doyenne will find her own way in her own reality series -- but she won't say what it is yet. The show will spotlight Stewart's working life and her attempts to find an aide through the TV process pioneered by Donald Trump through two seasons on NBC. "I think you'll find it quite different," Stewart said Wednesday during an appearance at the Promax&BDA conference of marketing executives in New...

I am absolutely captivated by the reality TV series 'The Apprentice'. Not just because of its drama (of which there is much) but because it shows how good old fashioned capitalism – hard work, common sense and entrepreneurship – win out over politically correct ideology. Almost uniquely, the show presents capitalist leaders as the hero, rather than the typical stereotypes such as the evil Mr Burns from the Simpsons. The reality of such men is that while many of them may be cold, or unpleasant, they are the necessary servants of the marketplace. Their bold and forceful careers give the...

There is more than enough reality on television, without reality TV as well. Besides, there is something very odd about the idea of reality TV, as if the humiliation games played by gaggles of ditzy self-publicists were somehow as real, or perhaps even more real, than documentary footage of starving babies and bombed-out villages. That is an extremely odd idea of reality and I think it contributes to the increasing public mood of unreality. Besides, humiliation is not my idea of a spectator sport. At least, that is what I always used to feel — until last week. Last Wednesday...
