COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa—Gov. Rick Perry (R-Texas) blitzed through Iowa Friday with the swagger of a rock star, elevating his high-octane campaign with a series of stage-managed campaign events. As the only sitting governor pursuing the GOP nomination for president, Perry’s Texas-sized entourage and personality project an aura of authority that other candidates envy.
