Tulsi Gabbard on a watchlist, the FBI released into the U.S. on a special parole the Pakistani man who sought to plan an assassination of Donald Trump and other politicians.According to several whistleblowers, Gabbard – a military officer and former Hawaii congresswoman and presidential candidate – was placed on a watchlist under Quiet Skies, a TSA surveillance program designed to focus law enforcement resources on travelers that present an elevated risk to aviation security.Gabbard confirmed the heightened security attention on her in an interview with journalist Matt Taibi. “The whistleblowers’ account matches my...

Guest post by Jeffery Rainforth I got to the border in Jacumba, California, almost 3 weeks ago. I’ve been camping right where the Border Patrol picks up large groups in the early morning hours. Shortly after I arrived, I had encountered about 5 large groups of illegal aliens. Like Lukeville, AZ, where I spent 7 weeks camped out from Oct. to Dec. in 2023, this place has people coming in illegally from around the world. In Lukeville, about half of the illegals were from Islamic-majority nations in Africa. In Jacumba, what I’m seeing is that a large number of the...

A secret watchlist of suspected terrorists maintained by the FBI was exposed online after a configuration error and then not fixed for several weeks after being reported, according to Comparitech. Head of security research at the firm, Bob Diachenko, said he discovered the Terrorist Screening Center (TSC) list on July 19, when the exposed Elasticsearch server was indexed by search engines Censys and ZoomEye. The list was left online without a password or any other authentication to secure it. It contained 1.9 million records, including full name, TSC watchlist ID, citizenship, gender, date of birth, passport number and more. The...

You don’t hear much about what’s going on behind the scenes to stop terrorists from coming over the border. Certainly, much of it is classified, because it might compromise sources and methods used to intercept plots. But the left wants you to think there isn’t much of a threat, it’s just hype meant to justify strict border laws that keep out Hispanic illegal immigrants. They ridiculed President Trump for bringing it up, feigning professional outrage. They deny that possible terrorists, identified as “SIAs” or Special Interest Aliens, are crossing the southern border. Fortunately Todd Bensman, a counterintelligence expert who covered...

The driver who attacked police on the Champs-Élysées on Monday had a permit to carry arms, sources close to the case have admitted, despite the fact he was on France’s terror watchlist for having been radicalized. The French PM says it’s “not satisfactory”. Sources close to the probe said the man, named as Adam Djaziri in the French press had been on France’s security watchlist since 2015 over ties to “the radical Islamist movement”. But the suspect’s father told AFP that his son “had a registered weapon; he practiced shooting”. A source close to the case said the 31-year-old had...

A new Wikileaks document reveals Hillary took Algeria off the US terror watch list after they made a hefty donation to the Clinton Foundation’s Haiti relief project. How is that legal? The Clinton camp was discussing Joe Scarborough’s discussion on the Algerian donations to the Clinton Foundation. The Clinton advisors defended the move in the email saying it’s “legal gray area.”

Insanity Shortly after the Nice attack, in which an Islamic radical killed 86 people by driving a truck through a crowd watching Bastille Day fireworks, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said France would have to “learn to live with terrorism.” As you might expect, the remark landed with a thud, since people who appease terrorists have a tendency not to live at all. Still, France seems hell-bent on walking a self-destructive path that leans heavily on playing defense. Now, as Reuters reports , we know that the challenges created by such a strategy are growing by the day. Unless things...

The sit-in that was launched by House Democrats to force a vote on gun control has finally come to an end. The House adjourned until after the Independence Day holiday, which meant that there would certainly be no votes on gun control. Prior to the protest’s conclusion on the House floor, the will of Democrats to stand fast began to falter (via Politico): House Democrats ended their sit-in protest on gun control Thursday, a full day after they seized control of the floor. The protest wrapped up with closing remarks by Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.), who helped spearhead the effort, and...

Of all the details investigators have uncovered about Orlando terrorist Omar Mateen, perhaps the most infuriating is the fact that he spent 10 months on a government watch list, yet had no trouble buying an assault rifle and a handgun. Authorities placed Mateen on a watch list in May 2013 after coworkers at the Florida courthouse where he was a security guard told authorities he boasted of connections to al Qaeda and other terrorists organizations. He remained on the list for 10 months, and FBI Director James Comey told reporters this week that during that time the agency placed Mateen...

Donald Trump reaffirmed his stance on restricting individuals on the terror watch list from being able to purchase firearms, despite Republican objections. "We have to make sure that people that are terrorists or have even an inclination toward terrorism cannot buy weapons, guns," Trump told ABC's White House Correspondent Jonathan Karl in an interview that will air Sunday on "This Week."

Attorney General Loretta Lynch overruled FBI Director James B. Comey on Thursday, saying the Obama administration does support a ban on firearms sales to those on terrorist watch lists. Mr. Comey last year had told Congress that the ban could end up alerting suspected terrorists that they are being investigated, and that could “blow” the cases his agents are trying to build. But his superiors at the Justice Department rejected that, issuing a statement Thursday saying they want to see Congress approve the “no-fly, no-buy” plan Democrats are pursuing. “The amendment gives the Justice Department an important additional tool to...

After a nearly 15-hour filibuster, the Senate has agreed to vote on two Democratic amendments relating to expanding background checks and keeping those on terror watch lists from buying firearms. Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) led the charge, stalling a spending bill for the Department of Justice yesterday afternoon to make the point that the Senate has to do something. This will not stop future mass shootings or terrorist attacks, as the Orlando killer had no criminal history making more background checks a useless exercise, and he wasn’t on any terror watch list. He was placed on one of them when the...

In two federal lawsuits this week, CAIR alleges that the U.S. government’s terror watch list is unconstitutional because it violates the rights of individuals on the list, according to a report by Courthouse News Service. ... Executive Director of CAIR Dawud Walid said that if the federal government was going to track Islamic extremism, it should also surveillance Donald Trump supporters. "I think the question is, are we going to be selective about this?" Walid said. "Are we following people and placing people on this list who go to KKK meetings, people who go to Donald Trump rallies?"

Christie has stated previously he has no problems with the Obama administration's initiative of banning Americans on terror watch lists from buying guns, despite that fact that these people have never been convicted of any crime related to such heinous charges. The reason: he already signed into law a similar piece of legislation back in 2013. Granted, this law is only in effect in New Jersey, but Christie showed he has no regrets over signing the bill. As you already know, being convicted of a crime is necessary in order for Americans' rights to be stripped, specifically (depending on the charge) the right...

One problem is that the people on the no-fly list (as well as the broader terror watch list from which it is drawn) have not been convicted of doing anything wrong. They are merely suspected of having terror connections. And the United States doesn't generally punish or penalize people unless and until they have been charged and convicted of a crime. In this case, the government would be infringing on a right guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution — and yes, like it or not, the right to buy a gun is a constitutional right according to the U.S. Supreme Court....

The Nov. 13 terror attacks in Paris has forced France to examine its security policies, including at the Charles de Gaulle Airport, where it was recently discovered that 57 employees who had access to airplanes and runways were on a terror watch list. Now, the security passes of 86,000 workers at the Paris airport will be reviewed, according to a report by the Sunday Times of London. **SNIP** The recent finding of Arabic graffiti on four planes at two French airports, including one that had "Allahu Akbar" written on a fuel tank hatch, has only increased security concerns. While the...
