Allison Avrett plans to appear in Holyoke Juvenile Court on Wednesday. Haleigh, 12, has been hospitalized since police say her adoptive mother and stepfather severely beat her in September. About a week after taking custody of the Westfield girl in September, the Department of Social Services sought permission to remove her from life support.
