Tapwrit won the Belmont Stakes, the third leg of the Triple Crown, on Saturday at Belmont Park in New York. Irish War Cry and Meantime set the pace for much of the race. Tapwrit moved into second in the stretch and jockey Jose Ortiz moved him to the lead deep in the lane.
