As conservatives wake up to the fact that George Bush is not a conservative and as conservatives become more and more disgusted with the Republican party governing like Democrats, the party is cranking up its spin machine to scare conservatives enough to keep them voting the party line in November. Across the internet and in some elite media outlets, pundits, and operatives are spewing the party’s rhetoric. I'll make it short and sweet... I just took the poll at the bottom of the latest posts page, and was absolutely shocked when I seen the results. Close to 50% say they will continue to vote for the GOP if they do NOTHING about the illegal immigration/border security. Granted, it is early on, but what this tells me, a guy who swings a hammer for a living, is that our general consensus is to do nothing about this situation, but vote the same folks back in...as in "That a boy, you're doing good!!"

Rev. Al was interviewed on the Black Entertainment News Program 'Lead Story' about his new book 'Al on America' where he said that black Americans should seek a divorce from the Democratic Party after agreeing with President Bush in the 2002 elections. (and not providing an opposition party) He commented that his candidacy would be in part to prevent minority voters from becoming a 'scarlett mistress' of the Democratic Party who ask for black votes and give little in return.
