The deadly collision that unfolded outside a mosque in London early Monday has been declared a terrorist attack by British officials . “We don’t yet know the full details, but this was clearly a deliberate attack on innocent Londoners, many of whom were finishing prayers during the holy month of Ramadan,” London mayor Sadiq Khan wrote in a statement. “While this appears to be an attack on a particular community, like the terrible attacks in Manchester, Westminster and London Bridge, it is also an assault on all our shared values of tolerance, freedom and respect,” he said.

Since 1948, there have been more than 275 unprovoked alligator attacks on humans in Florida, of which at least 17 resulted in death. There were only nine fatal attacks in the U.S. throughout the 1970s, ’80s, and ’90s, but alligators killed 12 people between 2001 and 2007. In May 2006, alligators killed three Floridians in less than a week. Those statistics were the furthest from my mind as I sat cross-legged with my elbows resting on my knees in the bow of a slowly moving jon boat. Trying to paint the gator’s eye with the EOTech MRDS as he floated...

What do "Big Rig Bounty Hunters" and "Swamp People" on History Channel have in common? They both pummeled CNN and MSNBC's brand new shows' debuts last week in the ratings. CNN's attempt to mimic Fox News' hugely successful "The Five" with a five person panel show called (get to) The Point" seems to have crashed and burned in spectacular fashion. The week-long tryout at 10:00 PM ET, in place of an Anderson Cooper repeat, was dead last in cable news ratings, finishing behind CNNHLN and CNBC.

It occurred to me that Tropical Storm Lee must really be wreaking havoc upon the efforts of Troy Landry and the other Swamp People in their alligator hunts. Right now, the Louisiana Alligator season has recently begun. Will the Swamp People be forced to refrain from hunting alligators for a few days? Also what affect with the extra water in the bayous have upon the hunt?I guess we will find out when Season 3 of "Swamp People" is broadcast.Ice Road Truckers fizzled out after the first season and I never really could get into "Axe Men" so "Swamp People" is my...

Swamp People on History ChannelSprawling over a million-acre swath of southern Louisiana, the Atchafalaya River Basin is the largest swamp in the United States and one of the country's most ecologically varied regions. Its wetlands, bayous and marshes are home to 300 species of birds, 90 species of fish and shellfish and 54 species of reptiles and amphibians, including the great American alligator. For hundreds of years, the Basin's human dwellers—from the Native Americans who harvested its timber...
