NEW ORLEANS — Sen. David Vitter, who publicly apologized after being linked to an alleged prostitution ring in Washington, D.C., was once a client of a high-priced New Orleans brothel, a former madam said Tuesday. Saying he was a "decent man" who appeared to be in need of company when he visited the brothel, Jeanette Maier added unexpected details to a scandal enveloping the first-term Republican... ...Maier pleaded guilty to running the Canal Street brothel in 2002. Vitter won his seat in the U.S Senate in 2004.

If you have not already done your part, get on the phones! I called a girlfriend of mine and asked if she had voted yet. She said she wasn't sure she would, because she hadn't done enough research to know how to vote...which leads me to my next suggestion:Be ready with information, links, voting records etc. I am sure there are a good number of people out there who do not inhale the news like those of us on FR, and feel unprepared. Give them the info and encouragement they need to go vote today!
