Why can’t we get basic information about [the Covid vaccine] safety studies that were relied upon by the government as providing the basis for pushing it on the American people? Asked Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, in his latest weekly update. “If it is as wonderful as they say, if it is as safe as they say, if it is as effective as they say, they will be happy, wouldn’t you think, to release all the studies that show that? But obviously, that’s not happening. “Judicial Watch has had to go to court repeatedly to get basic information about...

One of the reasons transgender madness has spread so effectively is because the medical establishment is all in. Although I’ve yet to see a medical study proving even a little that gender dysphoria is more than a tragic (or learned) mental illness, medical gender clinics aiming for ever younger children have sprouted like weeds across the Western world. Because of their “expertise,” they’ve been able to gain a lot of traction but Florida’s governor Ron DeSantis has thrown down the gauntlet: During a Wednesday press conference, he called for doctors who perform so-called “gender-affirming care” on minors to be subject...

This arsenal of firearms is among the dozens of weapons that have been taken off London’s streets during the Met’s latest gun amnesty. Since Monday 45 weapons have been surrendered across the capital as part of the Give Up Your Gun campaign, including shotguns, revolvers, rifles and handguns, Scotland Yard said. Detectives from the Met’s gang unit today urged anyone still in possession of an illegal firearm to hand it in before the amnesty ends on Sunday night.

Rush Limbaugh Vents on Darrell Issa ~~~~~~~~ Transcript ### RUSH: Congressman Darrell Issa from California. Congressman, welcome to the EIB Network, sir. ISSA: Rush, thanks for the opportunity to clarify what a half hour of an interview turns into when it turns into one bullet line by an author. RUSH: Let me tell you what it says. The whole story is about you guys wanting to shut down government and how that won't work. It's all about how Republicans really, in private, realize they're going to have to compromise with Obama and you get quoted: "It's pretty clear the American...

The Obama administration will accept no more public input for a federal strategy that could prohibit U.S. citizens from fishing the nation's oceans, coastal areas, Great Lakes, and even inland waters. This announcement comes at the time when the situation supposedly still is "fluid" and the Interagency Ocean Policy Task Force still hasn't issued its final report on zoning uses of these waters. That's a disappointment, but not really a surprise for fishing industry insiders who have negotiated for months with officials at the Council on Environmental Quality and bureaucrats on the task force. These angling advocates have come to...

Smoking bans in places like restaurants, offices and public buildings reduce cases of heart attacks and heart disease, according to a report released Thursday by a federally commissioned panel of scientists. The report, issued by the Institute of Medicine, concluded that exposure to secondhand smoke significantly increased the risk of having a heart attack among both smokers and nonsmokers. The panel also said it found that a reduction in heart problems began to take effect fairly quickly after a smoking ban was instituted and that exposure to low or fleeting levels of secondhand smoke could cause cardiovascular problems. “Even a...

U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, amid fire from lawmakers and other critics, continued Thursday to defend the Troubled Asset Relief Program and its new focus of injecting capital into banks and insurers as “necessary steps to prevent a financial collapse.” “Although we are not proceeding with direct asset purchase programs, we plan on using our resources aggressively to support the normalization of credit markets and the expansion of credit to support economic recovery,” Paulson said Thursday. Paulson’s dramatic shift from his original strategy of buying up toxic loans and other troubled assets from financial institutions with the allocated TARP funds...

- - The government must begin the process of extricating itself from the financial sector of our economy. The events which have occurred since passage of the financial “rescue program” last month should concern every American who cares about the integrity of our system of government and how it does its business. Congress entrusted one unelected official with the unprecedented power to distribute $700 billion-no strings attached. This Congress has set an extremely dangerous precedent, but it also has a chance for redemption. Treasury Secretary Paulson recently came before Congress and said that if he wasn’t immediately empowered with his...

- - Oklahoma senator reveals details of conference call and is set to push legislation to make bailout spending transparent. At the time of the votes on the $700-billion bailout bill, which finally passed Oct. 4, there were dire warnings of calamity if the bill failed. Rep. Brad Sherman, D-Calif., said martial law would have to be enacted to keep public order if it didn’t pass. Rep. Jo Bonner, R-Ala. said the aftermath would be comparable to the scenes in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., revealed on “The Pat Campbell Show” on 1170 KFAQ, a talk...

- - Says Taxpayers Demand Real Reforms & Accountability From Washington WASHINGTON—U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, a member of the Senate Budget Committee, made the following statement regarding today’s announcement by Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid that he will seek Senate passage next week of a $25 billion bailout for the U.S. auto industry. Senator Reid’s support for this latest government bailout comes on the heels of yesterday’s announcement from the Treasury Department that the federal government has a record deficit of $237.2 billion for the first month of the fiscal year. The competition for anti-John McCain Web sites is so stiff that those looking to register new ones say the best names have already been snatched up. "Virtually every one we thought of was taken," said Robert Shoemaker, who said his site RepublicansAgainstMaverickMcCain.com will go active this week. "The first one we wanted to do was Republicans Against McCain just short and sweet. That wasn't available, and we worked all the way around different labels we could use, none of them were available." In the end Mr. Shoemaker, who held signs at last weekend's Conservative Political Action Conference protesting Mr. McCain's...

DEAF parents should be allowed to screen their embryos so they can pick a deaf child over one that has all its senses intact, according to the chief executive of the Royal National Institute for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People (RNID). Jackie Ballard, a former Liberal Democrat MP, says that although the vast majority of deaf parents would want a child who has normal hearing, a small minority of couples would prefer to create a child who is effectively disabled, to fit in better with the family lifestyle. Ballard’s stance is likely to be welcomed by other deaf organisations,...

BABIES IN NEW CIGS WARNING BABIES whose parents smoke take in "third hand smoke" from touching furniture as they crawl around the home, warn scientists. Infants may unwittingly be being put at risk of lung disease by simply hugging mums and dads who light up - even if they only smoke outside. Chemicals stick to walls, clothes, hair and skin warns Georg Matt, a professor at San Diego State University. Early research suggests they can be swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin of non-smokers. His study of 49 tots aged under 13 months found cotine - a by-product of...

CHICAGO - While some United Airlines employees are using placards and pamphlets to protest the loss of their pensions, a group of flight attendants is taking a more risque tack — showing some skin to publicize their plight. The five women, ranging in age from 55 to 64, posed for a 2006 calendar that depicts them in various states of undress in front of a vintage plane, on a park bench and on a plane's wing, among other locations. Reflecting a mix of humor and anger, it was released to coincide with a bankruptcy court's approval this week of United's...
