The King of Staten Island visited his castle. Pete Davidson was seen at the St. George Ferry Terminal on Friday, admiring the decommissioned Staten Island Ferry he and “SNL” co-star Colin Jost bought this week at auction. Video obtained exclusively by The Post shows the Staten Island native beaming through sunglasses at the new purchase from a pier jutting out into New York Bay. “It’s crazy,” Davidson said. “We used to take that ferry to do stand-up, all the time.”

NEW YORK — It’s the evening rush on the Staten Island Ferry, and Donald Trump’s New Yorkers, spent after a day’s work in Manhattan, are heading home. There’s the construction worker who is convinced Trump will stop “pussyfooting around” when it comes to terrorism. There’s the Hungarian immigrant tow-truck driver who says Trump speaks his language. There’s the moving-company worker who believes Trump would be the first honest and courageous president in his lifetime, the diamond dealer who respects his toughness and the fashion model in awe of his glamour. “He’s just the man, right?” says Jimmy Dawson, 20, just...

The city is reconsidering plans to name a new Staten Island ferry boat the "September 11th," after an informal poll of riders found almost 80 percent are against it. Mayor Michael Bloomberg said that he had not anticipated the opposition but will take it into consideration. “Quite honestly, I was surprised at that,” the mayor said Tuesday. “I think there would be a lot of people in favor of naming it 9/11, but apparently there are not. So, we are in the process of trying to set up a process to get other input.” The city Department of Transportation said...

Ten current and former Staten Island Ferry workers say last Monday was the first time the city ever notified them of a rule requiring the captain, rather than the assistant captain, to be in the dockside pilothouse every time the boat lands - a rule the city says Capt. Michael Gansas broke during the fatal ferry crash two weeks earlier.

October 21, 2003 -- WASHINGTON - In the wake of the deadly Staten Island Ferry crash last week, Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Charles Schumer - who frequently call for government investigations into all sorts of matters - have said little of substance about the accident. Political observers in Washington note that could be because Schumer is in a delicate position since his wife, Iris Weinshall, is commissioner of the city Department of Transportation, which oversees the ferries.
