On its surface, the recently released music video produced by the PAC Stand with Hillary, not quite a formal part of Hillary Clinton’s not quite announced campaign for the Democratic nomination in 2016, is little more than further evidence of the difficulty Hillary Clinton may encounter turning a sterling resume and impressive intellect into a strong campaign. Frank Bruni, writing in Sunday’s New York Times, suggests that the video “positions [Hillary Clinton] first and foremost as all woman. Not since U2 gave its new album to every Apple iTunes user whether they wanted it or not has music felt this much like a threat. Produced by a group called Stand with Hillary, the country music video walks a fine line between over-earnest promotion and accidental satire. But the group behind the clip appears to be completely sincere. The Washington Post reports that Stand with Hillary's creators are "Daniel Chavez, a longtime Democratic political operative, and media producer Miguel Orozco." Orozco wrote the song which is a very different flavor from his previous efforts for Obama in 2008.

Several people who sent me the video embedded below, from the Hillary for President campaign that is not yet officially a campaign, warned me I might barf. But actually, I found it quite interesting in a number of respects and, upon analysis, comforting.
