They say Spain is pretty though I've never been.....Elton John I have heard that Spain is pretty and had just begun planning a trip for early fall that would have included Spain in the itinerary. Not now. I just phoned the Spanish embassy in Washington. First, I sent my condolences, then I told them that if they pull troops out of Baghdad, there is no way I will visit their country. If you have a message for them --- Embassy of Spain 2375 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington DC 20037 Telephone: (202) 452-0100 Fax: (202) 833-5670 E-mail: spain@spainemb.org URL: http://www.spainemb.org/ingles/indexing.htm

BEIJING - Twenty North Koreans who said they were fleeing persecution in their hard-line communist country rushed past Chinese guards and sought asylum Thursday at the Spanish Embassy, threatening suicide if they are sent back. The men, women and youngsters ran through the embassy's front gate, past two armed Chinese guards. One struggled briefly with a guard who grabbed him, but broke free and ran with the others into the main embassy building. "We are now at the point of such desperation and live in such fear of persecution within North Korea that we have come to the decision to...
